    Thoughts on Collector's Edition

    This is just a quickie - I ordered the Collector's Edition. It has 5 additional courses, and I believe the par 3 at augusta, and the green jacket ceremony.

    Here's my gripe - and please understand, i AM a fan of the game, and always buy it, and basically i bought the collector's edition because i played a ton on '11 and '12...

    Why is it packaged so poorly? Nothing looks special about it, at all. Forza impressed me with great packaging and goodies inside. And while Skyrim was a little too pricey for me with the CE, i at least bought the collector's edition hardcover manual, which is beautiful!

    anyway, there doesn't seem to be much of ANYTHING special about the Limited Collector's Edition... they could have done more (or actually, they could have done ANYTHING!) - instead, it seems they just made it a pre-purchase of DLC...

    am i wrong here? am i missing something?

    let me know...

      I noticed the same thing. It looks funny next to my copy of the heisman edition.

        EA has produced plenty of collector's editions with special packaging so it has nothing to do with them being the publisher.

        I don't think they should've called this a Collector's Edition. Maybe call it Masters Edition or something but Collector's Edition normally says to me that it has something collectable in it but this one doesn't at all.

        That said, I'm still quite happy with it, especially with the fact that the bonus content is actually on the disc instead of being a DLC code, which is what I was expecting.

          Most CE's have special packaging but very little special in the actual gameplay. This game seems to have gone the complete opposite direction.

          One question on the CE.... It says the master's practice facility is an exclusive for the CE. Does this mean that on the regular game, there's no way to practice shots? Or is there just a different type of range?

            Yeah. Collectors edition is for something special. They should have called this the "save $10 on DLC edition" because that is the only difference between the vanilla version.

              It's a practice range where you can practice driving, short shots or putting.

              I'm not aware of any other practice range existing in the game for the standard edition.

                I would like to see a little more, but it is worth it just for the DLC and the practice range. Most of these special editions are $20 more too, so $10 isn't bad.
