That's the valley of sin,very realistic.Certainly no reason to stop using St.Andrews for tourneys.

I think many of us are familiar with the Valley of Sin. But a pin location where the ball rolls up to the hole (within a foot) and then back down the hill 15 feet isn't realistic. Not sure if you played the first round, so if you have and you don't see anything wrong with that pin placement, then we can agree to disagree.

There's also a hole in the second round, No. 12 I believe, where I putted PAST the hole three times and the ball came back to my feet. I played a tee shot perfectly 12 feet below the hole and the putt was either make it or have the same 12-footer again. I'm sure that's exactly how it would play in real life with that pin, but in real life the R&A wouldn't put a pin there.

I love St. Andrews and will continue to play it regularly, but EA's pins are poorly chosen.

Yes I now totally agree with you.I have now played 3 rounds.The hole on 18 was actually nowhere near the valley of sin & was very unrealistic.2nd round,hole 11 is the problem.I had the same putt as you,holed it on the 5th attempt.Such a shame EA do this.The good news is round 3 was trouble free.Sorry about my earlier post,just trying to defend my favourite course.TW13 is a fantastic game let down by a few niggles,pin placements being one of them.Still love playing St.Andrews though.

No worries. St. Andrews is also one of my favorites to play because it's so unique. But it seems almost every round there's one pin that's silly. But as long as it's only one, it's not a game breaker for me.

I don't think this one is set at Tour Pro. I think it's set to "Tiger Woods Had a Love Child With Ben Hogan and Then It Took Steroids."

Of course, that's my perspective.

Most of the tournaments are set to tournament difficulty. It does vary to give everyone a shot at competing though. One daily could be tournament, the next on easy. Just depends on what is created
