TW 13: Shot distance versus swing

Hopefully I can explain my question well enough.

I am confused about the swing circle and how it relates to distance in TW13.

For example, when I drive I don't really pay much attention if I have an open fairway so I assume if I have a club that shows 285 and my drive shows 285 and I hit it prefect I should go somewhere around 285.

However when I am pitching and my distance shows 100 yards and my club shows 125 or 90 I am not sure I understand. If I choose the club that goes 125 my distance still shows 100 if I choose the club that goes 90 my meter will drop to 90. Does this mean if I perform a full perfect swing with the 125 club it SHOULD go around 100? It sure seems like the answer is no but I am not sure. The real reason I ask is if I adjust the ball placement or my stance the meter will change left or right or back or forward a bit.

Simply put, if I have a club that goes 100 and I need to hit it 75 because that is what the target shows, do I swing 75% or 100%?

Sounds stupid I know but I am a little confused my the adjusting target when changing stance and ball.

    Thanks

Depending on your settings your club distance will show you the distance the ball will carry (default) or end up when rolled out if you swing with full power. So the 125 club will carry 125 and probably roll out to 130-135 total. If you club down and hit full power the lower club will carry 90. So if your distance to pin is 100 and your club shows 125 then either play the ball back in your stance for more loft and backspin or swing with approximately 80% power.

I understand what you're sayin, and only found out myself the hard way. It's not like past versions where it will A: show you the percentage you need to swing varying on where you moved your marker. B: you marker location does not change the scale of your actual swing.

In other words if you move your 125 club to 100 yards and you take a full swing its going to go 125. It will also not tell you the percentage you need to swing to hit that club 100 yards. Seems this year, that's one of the biggest challenges, in you have to find that part of your swing out yourself.

Thanks gents. That's what I figured because it seemed that way. It's just kind of odd that adjusting the ball and your stance would move the target. I suppose it does ultimately adjust where you are aiming too though so I suppose it does make sense. I really like it though as this may be the most challenging Tiger yet.

I must have missed that part in your post. If you move the ball forward or back in your stance it will change the total distance of that club. You'll either hit it higher prices lower (you knew that part. ) I thought you were asking if you used the directional pad to move the marker a lesser distance, would a full swing hit it that distance or need. My bad.
