hit an iron, and the ball landed around the outer edge of a bunker then rolled into the bunker. But when the next shot appeared I was outside of the bunker, in the rough...it's happened a couple times now for me.

It's happened TONS of times from all over to me.
That being said, I'm playing this game a LOT, there's some other issues with it (mainly the tempo for pitching and chipping, needs it's own mechanic, a smaller version of the full swing would be amazing), but overall I can't believe how much I like the game this year.
I've got over 30K coins on PS3 right now, I should have all the DLC courses for free (which I WAS going to buy) in about another month.
If I stop working, neglect the woman and stop playing real golf I'll have them even sooner.Comment

Everyone is seeing this issue. Any time there is an odd lie or not enough room for the golfer next to the ball it treats it as an out of bounds shot and you get the appropriate "drop". EA needs to step up and fixes it. No way was this glaring issue missed during testing.
Last night I was about to finish a great round at Crooked Stick when my shot on 18 landed off the green on the fringe next to water. It was not out of bounds or in the water but the game made me re-shoot my entire shot over from where I stood because the game apparently doesn't know how to handle the animation for such a shot.
Pretty lame for a golf game. I would rather see a broken animation and my guy standing hovering on water than the option EA choose to address their lack of different animations.Comment
