This wind is getting ridiculous
Overall I think Tiger Woods 13 is a great game. My only real gripe is since I have bumped the difficulty up to tournament setting, it seems like every round I play in my career the wind is blowing 25 to 35 mph. What's even more frustrating is I have live weather enabled and it never matches up with what the real live weather is. I live about 10 minutes from sawgrass and I played earlier today with live weather and it rained and the wind blew 20+mph the whole time while it was sunny and calm all day here. Is anyone else seeing this on tournament level or is there some kind of glitch with the live weather?Tags: None -

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous
I had to turn off live weather, and even then I still get the occasional hurricane. What is annoying is that the AI seems unaffected by golfing in 30 mph winds. I can't even reach some par 4s in 2 shots...
I love this game, but the large number of bugs is frustrating.Go Sabres!Comment

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous
Also at times the wind just makes no sense. If you have 15-20 MPH winds blowing toward the hole and the ball somehow lands 40 yards short with a club that was 30 yards more than you needed that is ridiculousPSN: PanicshadeLWK

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous
I'm still on the Nike Tour playing Tournament Pro level so I haven't seen this as yet.
I remember having issues with high winds in TW 2010. I ended up configuring the game for live weather and disconnecting my internet connection. Everything was calm. Not ideal but better then the hurricanes.
Has anyone tried this in TW 13?Comment

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous
2 possible makeshift solutions to this.
1. Turn the live weather off as it the conditions will become less extreme, you still get the high winds but it doesnt seem as bad, at least the 10 rounds I've played since I turned it off. And I haven't gotten any rain since i turned it off and I was getting it almost every other round before. It might just be a fluke but so far, so good.
2. Buy some boosts pins and hope that you get the "calm the wind" boost pin that lowers the wind 30%, then buy some refills. They have a sale right now where 75 refill pins cost 18000 coins which is a good deal and should be good to use for a few career seasons.
Don't count on a patch. Don't think its happening.Comment

While we're talking about wind. Can we get a fix to this glitch? Happens every time on this hole.

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous
Speedy - Actually this isn't a glitch, at least the changing direction part. While the magnitude may be overstated, the 12th at Augusta is known for 'swirling' winds and this is actually pretty realistic.
In general EA has been quite careful with this particular course, i.e. no carnival pin placements etc.Comment

And to Zinger...no I don't believe that. I think that for SOME reason EA's golf team has never had a good handle on weather management in it's game. At least the pin can somewhat mitigate it this year. NEVER use live weather.GO 'HAWKS!
