How do I get calm the wind boost pins?

Since the only way to enjoy the career mode is to apparently use the "calm the wind down" boost pin, can someone please tell me in plain english how do I get these pins? I bought refill packs and all I get is the same 5 pins (increase attributes, improve lie etc..) when I start a round.

What do I need to buy with my coins to get the calm the wind pin specifically. Do I buy them or do i need to get gold mastery on a course and then buy them or do I need to buy course pins or do I need my CAG to perform a triple axle? I really am clueless with this because it's not very user friendly. Thanx in advance.

Any of the pin packs that say they contain boost pins gives you a chance at getting the Calm The Winds pin. There is no guaranteed way of always getting that pin though. Some show up more than others.

Also you can use your refill pins before you pick pins you want to use for the round but you have to have at least 1 of the pin you are wanting to refill. I only use the XP pins and ran out of them. I left myself one that way I could refill it when I got some refill pins.

Thanx for the info. You mean to tell me that there is no way of being able to check what's in these pin packs before you buy them? They seem pretty expensive to have to blind buy them. How dumb is that?

If I hit the lotto and buy the pin pack that contains calm the wind, once I get it I'll never lose it and just need to buy these refill packs as long as I don't let it run to empty. Is that what you're saying?

You can sell back the ones you do not want for 95% of the value... save some coin that way...

The only ones I tend to use are:

Calm the winds
Improve Lie
Shot Preview... (I am an amatuer whore)
Golfer pins...

The rest I find no value in as you cannot boost any stat over 100 regardless... Power has zero effect when you are already at 100...

You can only sell them when you first buy the pack. On the screen it gives you the option of selling each pin for a certain amount of coins.

When you buy the pin pack and open it up it will say on the bottom of the screen "Sell Pin - ??? Coins"

I believe it is the Y button but I'm not 100% sure

I guess I lucked out when I bought a pin pack because I got the wind pin, kept that and just sold back the rest. Now it's at bronze level and reduces wind 30% but I'm getting some tourneys with rounds of over 30MPH winds so 30% may not be enough for me on some days. How do I level up to silver and gold? I assume silver would be 40% and gold is 50% reduction? It sounds like you have to buy more pin packs and if you get another wind pin it upgrades it to silver or am I way off on this?

I am assuming that since you used all of your Calm The Wind pins before that it resets your "Gold - Silver - Bronze" status. That's why you should keep at least one no matter what from now on.

When you first get a pin it is at Bronze level. You have to buy another pack and hope to get the pin again to raise it to Silver level. Getting the pin one more time gets you to Gold level.

Keeping at least 1 of that pin in your collection at Gold level means any time you refill that pin or get it again in a pack it will stay Gold. Use them all and it puts you back down to Bronze.

I have bought multiple packs and it's not in every pack. It's always just the luck of the draw with those.

The refills give you more uses of whatever pin you choose to use it for. It's not just Bronze uses or the like. If you put all 150 refills into the Bronze one now it will still upgrade to Silver and Gold with no problem assuming you get the pin again to upgrade it.

Considering they keep having special pin packs of specific kinds I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually have a deal on Calm The Wind pins.
