IGN Links 2004: Back 9 Interview

IGN Sports: What real courses are in the game?

Mark McArthur: St Andrews, the birth place of golf! Aviara locaated in California, Loch Lomond in Scotland, Greywolf up in Canada, New South Wales located in Australia, Superstition Mountain over in Arizona, Mauna Lani located in Hawaii, and Oakmont.

IGN Sports: Are there any fantasy courses in the game? How creative did you want to get with the course?

Mark McArthur: Yes, there is one fictional course in the game named Ocean Mill. It is a VERY beautiful and challenging course that has both seaside and mountain features. We wanted to make a very fun course from a playability standpoint and make it drop dead gorgeous.

    ---

So we have 8 real courses in the game and 1 fantasy course... A few new ones which is nice and of course St Andrews which is in every game. Hey finally a golf game w/o Pebble Beach Thanks to EA for wrapping that course up as I know every nook and cranny on that course.

A bunch of new screens and is looking mighty nice!

    Here are a few

St Andrews on Links is one of my favorites. I visited St. Andrews a few years back and they did a bangup job on that course.

Thanks for the BS. This one might have broke my back on XBlive.
