For any one who has Links 2004
I'm considering a purchase of this game since I played it a few years back on PC. But I would like to know from someone knowledgable of the game...is this game a yay, or nay? I've never really been into golf video games before, although I do like the sport itself. So any help with my decision would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Tags: None -
Re: For any one who has Links 2004
Basically, the answer is if you like a sim like approach, buy this game. If you like an arcade approach where you can hit 400 yard drives and put spin on the ball while it's in the air buy Tiger Woods.
They're both good games, but Links appears to be taking a more sim like approach from all the previews and early reviews I've read. No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Thanks! This will be my first console golf game, so I really appreciate your comments. It's been so long since I played Links on the PC, but if it's leaning to a sim approach then it looks like it could be my game. Thanks again Badgun!Comment

I hope that's the case. I would imagine that it's Links Lite. Not overly Links but no Tiger at the same time. I don't have much hope for it offline but online is probably where it shines like every other MS game released this year. Yes including Top Spin.Comment

I'm really enjoying it. Not a TON of bells and whistles but it's solid except for the commentary (which is horrible) but that can always be turned off and replaced with custom soundtracks.Comment
