First time post on these boards, but I'm sure many will follow.
Let me fist start off with I recently traded in a few games and bought TW 2004. I did find it quite enjoyable But However I really didn't feel like it was golfing.I felt like It was a test of how good I was at estimating how far 3 feet and 4 inches to the left was!! The analog stick controlls in TW were just WAY TOO forgiving. So after pondering all night last night as to if I should trade in and give Links 2004 a try I woke up and did it.
Even exchange mind you.........
Let me say Links is by far the best console golf game out there. Gone are the days when you can just hit the ball with the club that the AI recommmends. Wind,Moisture level (rain),rough really play a huge part in this game. The graphics are Out of this world. The fly overs look like a TV broadcast.I have only been playing for a few hours and I am switching back and forth between intermediate and advanced, and I must say there is a level for everyone,Beginners and Pro's.
I will be going online hopefully in a few days to see what thats all about also.
If you are unsure if this game is worth your 50 bucks, let me tell you after losing sleep for a night thinking if I should trade TW2004 for this game, You won't be sorry. Links 2004 is the REAL DEAL!!!!!

9 considering there are a few things I'd change for next year but it is the best golf game I have yet played.

I agree with above poster regarding TW BTW.

I had 2003 and played it (only choice) and bought 2004 and returned it as it just did not feel like golf. ( I was hoping for improvements in gameplay)

this (LINKS 2004) FEELS like golf.
The putting is very realistic.

Nice impressions. But if you're losing sleep over whether to trade a video game or not, you need to take a walk or find some good sedatives!

I give it a solid 9 myself. Almost a 9.5. Just an all around great game. I actually feel like I'm playing golf now as compared to Tiger Woods where I felt everything was predetermined.

Traded my Tiger Woods away today for ESPN College Hoops.
