    Re: Slice?

Man, last night I was slicing like a madman. I think I was hurrying too much and kept hitting it in the rough. My putting was also killing me. Some of the greens in this game are brutal. I am in the middle of my first under par round though. I'm at -2 after 9 holes on the Hawaiian course.

I haven't taken golf lessons or anything, but I was consistantly slicing the ball big time. I slowed up my swing, stopped trying to kill the ball, and also made sure that I had the club face straight when I hit the ball. You might also be putting some spin on the ball, but I'm not sure what causes that. I'd just go to the driving range and try different things to see if anything helps. I just don't know enough about golf to help much, but keeping the club head square to the ball helped me a ton

90% of slicers do so because the club face is open at impact. Try coming through quicker with your wrists on your down swing.

Make a conscious effort to keep your right arm close to your body as you swing. It corrected my slice, and I even developed a slight draw.
