Re: Patch for Weather?
mwjr - I asked about the level you were on because most of the weather complaints I've seen on this board were from folks playing at the tournement level. Personally I'm on tour pro and I'm holding back a bit on my created golfer's XP. This worked reasonably well last year for keeping the game challenging and avoiding the most unreasonable pin placements.
As for this year's weather I don't know if that type of 'game tuning' will work as I'm still on the Nationwide Tour. So far so good.
(I like this game a lot but I don't have all that much time for gaming and the fact that FIFA/NBA 2K/The Show/NHL are all so good cuts into my Tiger bandwidth).Comment

Re: Patch for Weather?
Gotta turn the caddy off and take off spin... I was reluctant, too, but the game is a blast without all the assists. I still can't putt without the swing meter, but everything else is off.Comment

Re: Patch for Weather?
Wasn't the patch last week supposed to fix Live Weather in Career mode, among other things? I haven't tried career mode since the patch came out, but I'll be sorely disappointed if it didn't!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: Patch for Weather?
Weather was not fixed on the PS3 patch so its safe to assume that the same can be said for the 360 patch.
As a workaround, just purchase some boost pins with your coins and there stands a pretty good chance that you will get the "calm the wind" pin which will reduce the wind by 30%. If you buy more boost pins and get the same wind pin it will upgrade to silver and a 40% reduction and one more bought will upgrade it to gold and a 50% reduction.
The first 3 pin packages I bought contained the wind pin so I'm now at 50% reduction and you can always sell back the other pins you don't want so it won't cost you much in coins.
You can also buy refill pins, sometimes they have sales for 75 refill pins for a really good price so now I have 50% reduction and 225 refills to use to calm the wind in career mode (which should last you a few years in career), so the wind is not an issue anymore and all that cost me was about 20000 coins which doesn't take long to accumulate in the game.Comment
