Re: What game to buy (help me out guys!)
Haven't played Inside Drive and I'm not really a basketball fan. But I can say that Links is outstanding, especially the XBL/XSN competion and community. Team sports games usually head down the crapper once people learn how to exploit the game's AI. With golf, it's just you against the course, so those types of exploits don't seem to occur.
If you're looking for a good online game that won't get spoiled by cheese, go with Links. -

Re: What game to buy (help me out guys!)
I agree with Marks even though I haven't played ID 2004. ID 2003 was the best hoop game, by far, so I'm sure ID 2004 will be strong, too.
But there is cheese potential in Links 2004. Some players are showing up with created golfers that have more than 50 attribute points. When the skill points are that high, scores in the low-60s and high-50s are common, even on Advanced. It's almost impossible to compete with that unless you've spent the time to pump up your created golfer to those skill levels.
That said, just measure yourself against people with similar skill levels with their created golfers, and you'll have a blast. Or ignore the uber-skilled players and just focus on your game and your scores while enjoying the camaraderie of online foursomes.
Take care,

Wow I have and love both so I guess it really boils down to what you want most. Football or BB.

To a degree you are correct but where you can exploit areas in a basketball games you can also keep buying up attribute points to make Links so much easier.
The key in any sports game is to either learn to show restraint or simply be prepared to roll over the computer AI.

I don't think building up skill points is an exploit. It does make the game easier in some respects, but you still have to execute. When I say "exploit the game's AI", I mean things like money plays, or super running-backs where it doesn't take any real skill to execute. My experience with this is mainly in football gaming, so I imagine this could be less of an issue with basketball and other team sports.Comment
