    TW vs. Links OFFLINE

Tomorrow I'm heading to do some after Christmas shopping and getting a golf xbox game among a few others. I need your guys opinion on what I should get, TW 2004 or Links. I'm looking for difficulty and also replayability as far as the career modes go. I've played Tiger 04 for about an hour and it seemed pretty cool, but I have yet to try Links out. Any suggestions would be great.

Links is a GREAT game both on and offline. I really didn't find Tiger Woods 2k4 that appealing this year. My suggestion to you is that you rent links and then make your decision. OSers can't make the decision for you...just rent em' both and weight your options.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

My thoughts exactly. However, I wouldn't even waste $4.00 renting TW, I would just buy Links.

Links is far and away the better golf "sim"...however, a lot of people like career modes, and in that area TW absolutely murders Links...from being able to create a golfer that looks just like yourself to playing numerous full PGA seasons is great, its too bad the game becomes a military exercise after X number of rounds though...in other words, both games could do plenty of revising just by looking closely at each others offerings

I'm with wawasman. You could ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers. Both games have strong and weak points. It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for replayability and things to do in the game, TW kills Links. If you're looking for straight realistic golf, Links should be your choice. I have both and enjoy both.
