Links career mode
Is it supposed to be this hard? I was playing in the rookie tour championship (skins vs 2 other guys) At least one guy would make a birdie on the first 5-6 holes. Sometimes a guy would make a 50 ft putt to tie me or the other guy would chip one in off the green. (Give me a break. I'd expect this on the Legend tour, but not the rookie tour!) I also noticed that neither of the morons would tie the other. If I was out of contention on a hole one of the morons would win. I'm glad the game is challenging, but sometimes I don't think it's fair. If these guys are this good on the rookie tour, how good are the guys on higher levels? (BTW I'm playing as an advanced player.) Anybody run into this kind of thing?Tags: None -
Re: Links career mode
all of the players have ratings you can look at. you can pretty much tell who will make the long putts, who will chip em in off the green, etc. but the bottom line is just do what you're supposed to do and you'll be fine. when you don't screw up you'll win em. -

Re: Links career mode
Cool, but it's so discouraging when I put an approach shot inside of five feet and know either one of the morons will chip it in or make a great putt to tie me...Ah, look at me cryin'. I was just wondering if others had the same problems. I still love this game though.
How do you look at the other guy's stats?Comment

Re: Links career mode
I can tell you that if you watch what scores the guys get on match play during career, you'll notice that they basically get the same exact score on the same exact holes every time, i.e. I'm playing the Pro match play event, and Neilson always gets par on the first hole, bogey on the 2nd, birdie on the 3rd, yada, yada, yada. You always know what you need in order to beat them on any give hole. The one big negative in an otherwise stellar game. At least with the stroke play tournaments and skins games it's a little more varied (I really haven't bothered to research it-they could be that way too).Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

Re: Links career mode
Skins game it seems the same to me too. Which is why you will sometimes see amazing putts, and sometimes missed 3 foot putts. Because most of the the scores they shoot for each hole are predetermined. Once in awhile it will change, but not too much.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
