    Re: The LPGA Thread

Brooke Henderson can now play the remainder of the season as a Symetra Tour member after winning the Four Winds Invitational this past weekend.

Immediately following her victory, the 17 year old Canadian petitioned the LPGA for a waiver of its rule requiring tour members to be at least 18 years of age. LPGA commissioner Michael Whan immediately granted the request.

After a one week break the LPGA resumes its schedule with the playing of the U.S. Women's Open Conducted by the USGA.

Last year's tournament brought us a very exciting finish when Michelle Wie nosed out Stacy Lewis and Stephanie Meadow by two strokes, to win her first major Championship.

Here is my preview of this week's tournament:

The LPGA moves to the state of Michigan this week for the playing of the Meijer LPGA Clasic presented by Kraft.

The LPGA returned to Michigan last year for the first time since 2000, and it did so in spectacular fashion. In a very exciting finish, Mirim Lee defeated Inbee Park in a playoff.
