When the official Rolex Rankings come out tomorrow, Lexi Thompson will be the new #1 American ranked player in the world.

Lexi will pass Stacy Lewis, who held the #1 American title since May of 2012 (195 weeks), and move up to #3 in the overall world rankings.

This week the LPGA moves to Singapore for the playing of the HSBC Women's Champions.

This tournament was won in 2015 by Inbee Park, who held off the charging Lydia Ko for a two stroke victory.

The next four months are going to be extremely exciting if you are a fan of the LPGA. In fact, it will be exciting if your a women's golf fan period. Doesn't matter which tour you follow. The competition for qualifying for spots on the International Crown team and the Olympic team is just starting to heat up now. With the LPGA staging 17 tournaments over the next 19 weeks, with three of them being major championships, there has never been more at stake.

After a one week break, the LPGA resumes its schedule this week with the playing of the LPGA Founders Cup. This will be the first of 3 consecutive tournaments that will be played on the west coast of the United States, and will include the year's first major championship.
