The putting in the tournies is really starting to get under my skin. I singe the cup at least 10-11 times a round. In far better golf news I qualified for the State Amateur today!

Yeah you pretty much have to hit putts right in the center of the cup or they don't go in.

I know this isn't going to fly with a lot of guys, but I'm implementing an honor rule for myself, and others can choose to join. The reason is these scores through 18 holes are ridiculously unrealistically low.

It's very simple:

Cap out at 70 on all attributes. Don't increase any attributes unless scoring under par.
**for each stroke under par, increase attribute by 5.
**for each stroke over par, decrease attribute by 5.
**for each round in double digits over par, decrease Accuracy or Power by 5.

I go a bit further and keep track of my stats in terms of driving, approach, recovery and putting.

This makes things a lot of fun, because I'm only as good as my worst shot - and I strive very hard to score well so I can increase my attributes - and that way there is a penalty suffered if I don't set forth.

I think doing this has helped me enjoy the game - and why I'll shoot the way (slightly better lol) that I do in real life. If I ever get close to shooting 59 consistently, bury me - I've gone to Heaven and there's no point in playing on the tour.

Finally my first round under par! (-1) That's an increase in everything by 5! Iron game gets increased (workability is what I'll edit) an extra 2 pts due to an almost hole in one (2 feet).

I don't have the DLC, so just going to play dailys so we'll see how this week goes. Phew!

Does anyone know a way to see the results from the daily tournaments on the Country Club area of EASports.com?

It would be nice to see who's doing what during the day when i'm at work.

I believe the gigantic sports guru franchise that is EA Sports left out such a basic, and convenient option.

I had a heck of a hot streak at the end of my daily today! I decided to upload the final four holes to share with you guys.

I've been capturing my rounds since I moved into my new place, which was this past weekend.

I've been considering posting full rounds, but I wasn't sure if there would be any interest. Let me know if you guys would like to see those. If so, I'd probably edit out the pre-shot routine/setup so the video isn't 30 minutes long, unless you guys want to see all that stuff as well.

Is your spin rating real high? I can't spin the ball backwards on the green like that at all.

Even my wedges bounce forward.

I think my Spin is at 90. I'm a Draw, High Trajectory golfer. 95 Power and Accuracy. 40 Workability, and 90 in Spin, Recovery, and Putting. Yeah, that sounds right.

It's important to keep in mind that today's daily course conditions were Slow. My shots don't back up like that on Fast or Tournament conditions.

I'm coming for you, OS Kodiak and the rest of the top players in our CC.

For the most part, I've finally figured out how to shoot close to -7 or -8 or better every round now, so i now just need to work on hitting it a bit closer and making a few more putts. I also need to win that Calamity Jane putter!

This game is so much fun. It's quite nerve racking when you know you've got to make a ton of birdies every round or your not going to find a way to make it into the top 5 of every daily tournament.

I started off today's daily about as hot as anyone can. Stayed pretty hot through the front nine. Things were a bit more slow going on the back nine. Ended up at -12 for the day. Nice round kodiak!

Calamity Jane putter is overrated. I personally would never use it because I don't like the way it looks. I do just fine with my Odyssey blade.

I used a standard blade before the patch. Once my clubs got screwed up / reset, I had to go in and select new stuff. I couldn't find the old blade putter I was using before, so I decided to try the old one. It didn't give me any trouble, so I stuck with it and haven't changed a club since.

I use the Odyssey Claw Prototype.

The huge claw styles distract me and keep me from making reads. Dunno why.

I can't for the life of me figure out how you guys are going so low every round? What clubs are you guys using? I can understand getting hot every now and then but every single rd?? Do you guys ever blow up? Hell do you ever have a bad hole??

Maybe I don't want to know the secret because there would be no challenge for me if I shot what you guys shoot every rd.

I'm currently on an extended hot streak. I think I've shot -12 in the past three dailies, but I usually shoot in the -6 to -8 range. There are also times when I'll shoot -3 or -4. Last week I started the final round tied for the lead in the weekly and ended up posting a +2 (included a few Bogeys and a particularly frustrating Double Bogey), and that was immediately after shooting a -12 in the third round. So, yes... I do blow up and have bad holes from time to time.

In regard to how I'm going so low with consistency, I feel like my green reading is getting better every single round. I'm making 2-4 more putts for Birdie per round that I would have missed on the edge a few weeks ago.

I can update you guys with my club info tomorrow, but I mentioned in a fairly long winded post a few weeks ago that the biggest changes came after I switched from medium to high trajectory. I can get it much closer, much more consistently, on Tournament and Fast course speeds. I don't think it's as much of an advantage on Slow and Average course conditions. Other than that, I just really focus on hitting my swing plane and giving myself a chance to make putts. Some rounds they fall, others they lip out.

I've noticed a lot of guys going much lower than a few weeks ago, so it seems like everyone is making some good progress with their game. I'd love to play some H2H with you guys at some point on the weekends. Let me know if you're available!
