Just finished the new weekly on TPC Louisiana. Shot -15 thru 4 rounds. First round shot +2. Then after that something just "clicked". I was controlling my distances very well, wedges were 100% and putting was close to almost 1 putt per hole. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of the new difficulty.

Funny thing is, after 4 rounds I could've easily been -22 and more... so many pars.

We need a subforum. Everybody just should make a topic of their own CAG so that we can check what lvl everybody is on and their skills and swingtype etc. I wonder would we get a subforum quicker...

This right here is why I was for not changing any settings yet for the CC. As your CAG gets better the game starts to open up. Even on default Sim I'm starting to shoot sub par rounds with no aids. Last year there was no way I would try to play on Sim default or should I say no wind/green/zoom aids. Not this year as I'm all in.

What I'm enjoying the most is how one hole can blow your whole round/Tourney

Woohoo just turned in my first sub-par CC round in the weekly with a 70. Benign conditions and the size of the fairways really helps but I'll take it.

+3 in the daily, was going along OK at even and then tripled 15 after finding the water. As previously mentioned, one bad hole can just completely blow the round, but that's a good thing

In yesterday's daily at Torrey Pines I was feeling pretty good. My created golfer is now up to around a level 60, and I had a few sub par rounds offline. I started off playing pretty well, hit one over a par 3 green out of bounds but made a couple birdies to bring me back to even par. Then I hit another OB just left of the green on another par 3, and then I hit one OB to the right of the fairway on a back 9 hole. I wasn't hitting them OB when my golfer was a level 10. I just couldn't seem to stay on the swing line for some reason. I managed a couple more birdies and didn't feel too bad, but then I hit 18 and I hit a perfect shot right up in front of the green that I thought was going to roll on and be close. I guess my ball came in at a higher trajectory than I thought because it didn't take a hop forward it just kinda stayed there and then it rolled into the water. I didn't think I was close enough to the slope for the water to even be a factor, but it was and I had another penalty stroke. That is easily the most penalty strokes I've ever had in a round.

The Final Four theme is awesome. Friday's final in Atlanta is a nice touch.

Absolutely the truth.

I righted some of my wrongs in my game yesterday and posted my best rounds so far. I even posted a -1 on round 2 of this week's weekly this morning!

I need to keep improving on my GIRs, still miss too many. But my tees are getting right and putting is improved.

FLIGHT nailed it in his post...the game definitely opens up once you make it to level 50+ and you level up (plus just the experience and 'slogging' we all had to do at the outset).

And I love what FLIGHT said that I bolded, it's 100% fact. Just like real golf, the one hole where you decide to really reach can sink you.

I will say no matter how I score in the future, I will keep 'Zoom to Aim' and Wind MPH display on as that's just required info to play, IMO. Green grid is optional, though I play without it on career.

Sitting here at work and can't get anything done thinking about this game. Even though my CAG only avgs about 270 yds off the tee, my accuracy has really dialed in. I'm sitting at Level 92 and the only part I feel I'm deficient in is distance off the tee. 4 more hours to go and it's on!!

I feel the same way about wishing to play the CC tounaments right now. Now that we are forced to draw/fade, is there any word what Workability will do for you on your CAG. In '13, it was worthless to spend points on it.

Screw 13 at Valhalla. You miss the green into the water, and it gives you and unplayable Damn lie in the marsh under the elevated green.

That was my shot limit hole this round. Pushed me from like +7 to +14 in one hole.

Workability - Effects the amount of draw and fade that you can create through your shot setup. It does not have any effect on mis-hit.

Putting - Effects the size of the mis-hit window when you are putting. Effects the amount of power gained/lost by fast and slow swings.

Recovery - Effects the power penalty that you get in bad lies. Has no effect on mis-hit.

Spin - Effects the amount of natural spin on the ball. A higher spin attribute will help you hold the greens in faster settings and spin it back in softer settings.

From what I can tell it increases the distance you can fade/draw your shot left or right.

Agreeing with all the above posts the hard work and and learning is paying off. But even with that said and a high ranked CAG nothing is guaranteed. A bad hole, a bad shot or 2 can ruin your round. Especially like Dan said, get greedy and go for that par 5 in 2? Be prepared for the consequences, your eagle hopes just went to bogey or worse.

And THANK you hoff for keeping the settings. My preference as well, zoom to aim and wind mph is we need.
