They've been much better about this over this year and last year's game, but that was a horrible pin.

I thought I had doubled that hole but it turns out I bogeyed it.

Yup, lol, was on a roll and had a short eagle putt, luckily I made an impossible putt for par or I might still be putting.

I saw the pin on 4 and decided to not try to hit the green. I hit it pin high left in the 1st cut. Chipped up and made a 20 footer for par. The only way i made it was because it was a flat putt.

I then proceeded to shoot +6 on my next 5 holes to shoot 42 on the front. I ended up bogeying hole 15 to shoot a 37 on the back.

Worst hole of the day for me was the 5th hole. I hit in the bunker and it took me two shots to get out. I'm going to lay up short of the bunker on that hole from now on.

I gotta be honest, I'm losing patience with putting. Is there any sort of helpful tutorial somewhere that has really helped one of my fellow CC'rs. It's bad enough that it makes me not want to play.

* level up your putting skill.

* stay on "beads on" for a bit, then back off to "grid only", then try "no grid". (kind of like trainging wheels when learning to ride a bike)

* use the practice green like it's your job (historic addition).

this is what i did. now i'm averaging 1.33~ish putts/hole.. through 2 rounds, i think i'm even or +1 in this week's masters tourney in our CC.

just fyi.. in real life, i'm paralyzed (quadriplegic). i can move my hands but my fingers are 100% paralyzed. if i can get better with practice, anyone can. i'm telling you it's like 95% mental. you just have to get over that mental "hump".

While I did not use a tutorial, some good tips have been mentioned in the thread.

I look at these things when putting.

Where is ball in relation to feet(below feet, ball will break left to right for a RH golfer. Above feet will break right to left)

Does the hole itself slant either direction
(Ball will break close to hole in direction of slant)

Use the full view with the stick. Don't be afraid to spin the view around behind the cup, looking back at your golfer.(view could be improved an next gen hopefully, but it does help.

Is there water near the green(ball will usually break towards the water)

Lastly, it comes from playing the different courses and getting familiar with them. If you've been playing the series for a while, the old hat courses should be more familiar than newer courses.

If you're having trouble with how much or little power to put on putts, it's all individual choice on what type of putting tempo you normally do. Majority of my putts are fast back, perfect or slow follow through. However you do it, it comes down to repetition and feel. It took me several rounds to get comfortable with the new putting mechanics. And remember, the best PGA golfers average over 27 putts/round.

How is this going guys? Going strong? I have interest in this game, especially since the price lowered, but would pretty much only be interest in this CC.
