Can we try a daily without the true aim on? I'd like to see if anything changes in regard the very very low scores. I shot a +1 the other night. Just a thought...

You mean Zoom to Aim? I think that would absolutely send the scores up, but would make the game much less fun. That was 1 of the first options we decided to nix from the default Sim mode.

Zoom to aim actually doesn't make as much difference as you'd think except at a course like Wolf Creek, where you tee off over canyons and have no vision at the fairway on quite a few holes.

Hoff, Lt Dan, raging poodle, and myself all played that way last week in a best ball match and we all managed to do well for the most part. Not speaking for them but I can play either method and it doesn't really bother me.

The con of no zoom to aim is on holes where water runs through fairway or in front of greens, the caddie book does not give you distance to water or distance to carry over water.

Agreed and I'm okay with the majority. But my stance is; this game does enough to make things that shouldn't be frustrating, frustrating. To add more frustration at our choice seems kinda bleh to me.

I'd really prefer not to turn ZOom to Aim off. I can play without it, but I'm only 64% FIR as it is and struggle to keep it on fairways and out of iron trees and bunkers...let alone my slightly less than awesome 42% GIR.

I'm telling you, this won't raise the scores on the top players enough to be an effective equalizer vs what it will do to the fun factor.

I can play with the zoom either on or off. I have yet to try it this year but if the CC and the guys running the show want to take it that way I will adjust. It would further cement the realism of a round of golf.

My point with True Aim is that when I play on real courses, there are at least 150 yard marker posts out there, and I can move around a bit more to see where I'm hitting to. Both are lacking with True Aim off.

It's not THAT big of a difference I guess, but it's enough that I can't enjoy the long game very much.

Fellows I'm sorry I haven't been hacking it up the last 2 weeks but I've been hacking up the real thing hard. My Thursday night 9-hole league started last Thursday along with me playing last Sat/Sun now add that in with the flu the last 2 days and I've been out. Again I'm sorry for not contributing to the CC.

After my 9-hole rd this evening I hope to get a round in as I want to jump in on the Fed Ex Standings that was created by Bighoff Personal thanks for the time and effort you put into this.

My point with True Aim is that when I play on real courses, there are at least 150 yard marker posts out there, and I can move around a bit more to see where I'm hitting to. Both are lacking with True Aim off.

I definitely agree with you. They've made it very hard to play with no zoom as no information is given what so ever. They must expect all us to have the course yardage books stashed somewhere (should keep my mouth shut as that may spark another cash in for EA).

I was 3 under on hole 13 in the 4 round CC tourney, and of course the game locked up. Grrrrrrr

Just shot a 59 with zoom 2 aim off and Hoff shot a 61. Like I said, I can play with it off and doesn't bother me. I'm thinking of CC as a whole and don't want those who don't like it to be punished

All stats will be wiped when the patch comes out. Looks like we are starting over. Which makes me happy!
