You know what would be an awesome feature that should be used with Smart Glass with the 360? A yardage book/golfing GPS. It would give you where you drove the ball off the tee, yardage markers, front/middle/back of green and you could add simple notes. That way the sim mode would not have to change a thing and you would get info. like you do when you actually play golf.
What do you guys think?
Country Club Settings:
My suggestion is straight sim with green grid on with no beads. No pins and no pro players. I think that's the bet test, no grid makes putting damn near impossible.
I thought the CC was gonna be STRAIGHT SIM?? Whatever everyone decides I guess I will roll with it

I'll throw my hat in the ring for no grid, but have no issue the other way.
Using the crouch on the green (with Kinect) I can see a lot of the break in 5-30 foot putts. That combined with the angle of the ball in reference to your feet has given me a decent read most of the time.

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
I love that the different courses are having such a different effect using these settings. On easier settings they all feel the same.
I just shot a +3 on one course (can't remember which), and now I'm struggling to do any better than +10 on Pebble Beach.PSN: SiiLv3RxComment

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
I tried playing without the grid on the green, no dice. Just can't see the break at all and this is on a 60 inch 2011 Sony Bravia TV. Playstation 4 yes, these consoles, no.
It totally takes the fun out of the game, I don't want to do algebra with the numbers they give you and not being able to see the slopes before/beyond the hole, etc.
On sim difficulty the putting is challenging enough and realistic and it doesn't take me forever to read the green (and even then I still don't have an idea half the time), you can still under/over read putts, I do it all the time, I think it's great with the grid. I've liked the grid since the Sega Genesis version!
I can handle everything else at the hardest level except this,-- oops wait, strike meter needs to be analog too, lol. Guessing isn't "sim". Doing algebra with the numbers instead of actually "seeing" the break (that's why the grid is there) isn't sim. Not being able to see a big slope beyond the hole because there is no grid isn't sim.
My suggestions:
Strike meter Analog
Green Grids On
I think those 2 are imperative.
Wind info, full.
Zoom to aim, on.
I could live without those but again, denying me information I would have/know on a course to increase difficulty isn't sim to me.Comment

The time of day will be set to afternoon or morning in the tourneys.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Don't mean to be a pest, but are you guys still letting members in?
I've just been playing the career mode to get my guy leveled up for tournament play. I'm hoping I get better as my player does :P Shot my first round under par with these settings at Atlanta Athletic last night.
A -2 never felt so rewarding.Last edited by SilverChaosVII; 03-25-2013, 09:21 AM.PSN: SiiLv3RxComment

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
I broke down and tried the demo Saturday, just to get a read on Sim difficulty.
My first go I finished horribly lol. Like +10 for three holes. But I adapted quickly and was +2 to +4 at the worst after several tries, and I felt good about how it was playing. An odd combination of how I would hit in real life + how I play in games, especially my short game which was good.
Putting without the grid...it's certainly a different feel from last year. Greens felt pretty slow. With the graphics improvements I could nearly read the greens. I guess I'm either way on the grids for our CC. To me it's an equalizer either way. If there is no grid, we'll all be forced to really sharpen the approaches for shorter putts.
Overall I liked what I saw! Can't wait for tomorrow to create my CAG and start lowering the bar for the CCGO 'HAWKS!

The biggest issue I'm having is judging the wind... it's really tough with just the arrow. Looking at the trees sway and whatnot is only so much of an indication.PSN: SiiLv3RxComment
