Heck I will unhook my PS3 take it to my local gamestop and meet one. I have played EA golf from the start and its a nice game to play when you get burned out on the fast pace games.
There are all sorts of issues with that scenario, but I agree with the sentiment and I can tell you that if the Dev Team COULD do this, they would.

I will take this copy back and try a new one and if it skips so be it. I really like the game overall and with the masters coming up im getting fired up for that and maybe a patch or update will some day fix it Have a good one all.

Just to update I got copy #3 of the CE and it skips like the other one's. I had to call 3 store's to find a copy of the game that's funny what could be wrong? I will tell what the game stop guy said "the sound on that CE game is broke for both system's and all the local stores are out of copys because of all the returns that have to be sent back" so if I try a standard copy will I lose my golfer and my stats or does that copy skip also?

          Re: Sound effects stuttering?

Good news I saw a post about running the sound through your HDMI. I tried this before and it didn't work. So I tried again and this time it worked. I can hear the game now all of it The secret is you need to hook your tv to your receiver with the red and white plugs that become 1 plug at the other end. Then I went to tv/sat on my receiver and it was on and sounds great. Having said that EA needs to look at the digital optical code on this game thats the proublem I think cause I played 18 it was great no skipping. I know this won't work for all so good luck and can some one pass this info on to Sean I cant post on EA'S website for some reason yet THANKS

I had stuttering when I first played the game but it went away after a week or so.

But now I have another issue that cropped up yesterday. My home theater receiver crapped out on me so I had to use the crappy speakers from the TV to play (didn't realize how many sounds I missed without surround sound, don't even get the thump when the ball hits the bunker or the kerplunck sound when my ball lands in the cup).

Anyways once I did this I totally lost the commentary, not that big a deal because the commentary is not great to begin with but I still want to be able to listen to it if I want, but has this happened to anyone and how did you get it back? I'm buying a new receiver this weekend so I hope it's not permanently gone along with other discrete sound effects I got with my surround sound setup.
