A way to earn/purchase boost pin refills?

You get 5 boost pin refills to start with. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to earn, or even purchase more (using coins, or DLC money). Anyone have an idea?

I understand that they come in the Elite Pin packs you buy - sometimes... It's a random thing. You might get one, you might not.

Frankly, I find the Pin thing to be tedious and not nearly a strong enough value for your coins. They're much better spent, in my opinion, Leveling up your guy. I have bought two pin packs, but won't be buying any more.

(Not to mention the totally unrealistic side of things.)

I buy them just to fill out the collection but I don't use them... Makes the game way to easy to use them and like you said quite unrealistic.
It's just something to spend the coins on to collect cause I'm sure there is an achievement for collecting them all
