    Strike Meter - I dont get it

    I dont get the strike meter option. Perfect/Sticky/Analog. I don't understand it at all. It's set to sticky and it says "Sticky defaults the strike point at the center of the meter". I'm honestly baffled. I have no idea what the heck that means.

    Can someone explain in dummy terms what the 3 options mean?

    Sticky means the strike will be at center of ball every time.
    Perfect = Perfect location
    Analog = You have to manually keep the strike meter (On the ball) where you want to make contact.(This is where you want it for most challenge)

      Sticky = you have to move the strike meter but it sticks so you don't have to hold it in position?

            I go sticky cause it's the most realistic IMO. As a golfer I know where I want to hit the ball.

              Re: Strike Meter - I dont get it

              This has got to be the single most important feature that a newbie has to understand. Not so much the the different modes of the strike meter but what the strike meter does. Since I've had the game I had no idea what the strike meter did or how to make it work. It doesn't help that I downloaded the game and immediately switched the swing stick to the right stick and swing meter to analog.

              Not that I would have read the manual if I had the hard copy but having the software manual on the download just made me more ignorant to what features are in the game. I've played golf for 36 years of my life...I figured I know how to play a golf game.

              When ever I got into the rough or bunker I was taking to 2 or 3 shots to get out of trouble. The strike meter had me hitting the top of the ball in the rough and bunkers and it was the most frustrating thing. Now after reading this thread and experimenting with the strike meter I have found a new enjoyment for the game in the brief time I've had it.
