I'm thinking about getting TW14 and the only course on the Historic Edition that I'd like is the 1934 layout. So if it's an unlockable in the Standard game, I'll just go with that.

Augusta 1934 on Standard Edition?
I know that the Historic Edition of TW14 comes with the Augusta 1934 layout, but is there any way to unlock it in the Standard version of the game - like through playing the Legends of the Majors mode?

It was one of the biggest perks of the historic edition.Comment

Re: Augusta 1934 on Standard Edition?
Yeah, that's what's hard for me...I don't particularly want/need the other courses that come with the HE (I have most of them in other TW games). I'd just really like to play the 1934 layout of Augusta.
I just need to decide if it's worth the extra cost...especially if the Standard version is going to be on sale at Target this week for $40.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Just pony up the money, you should always purchase the special edition of games if you like the actual game itself.Comment

Re: Augusta 1934 on Standard Edition?
Well, you can always upgrade to the Historic Edition via DLC. It'll cost you $20 to do so ($16 if you're a Season Ticket subscriber). You'd still come out $10 to the good on the Target deal even if you're not a Season Ticket subscriber.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: Augusta 1934 on Standard Edition?
I disagree with this, most special editions are a waste of money IMO. Most of the time you are paying for fancier packaging and throw away collectables, maybe a special gun or 2. Nothing that adds anything of significance to the core game. TW is one of the few games that actually includes some things of value in there special editions, IMHO.Comment

I'm always thinking about the people who create the game. They put a lot of effort to do this for us and I will fund it the best I can to show them how much I appreciate what they do.Comment

Re: Augusta 1934 on Standard Edition?
I was just looking at this deal too (actually on Amazon). Amazon has the regular for $40 or the historic for $60.
What else does it include? I know it has the 1934 Augusta and the par 3, but there are 3 more courses that I can't find.Go Sabres!Comment

Thanks! Couldn't find it on the official site. Should have searched here
I'm glad they have the historic edition available as DLC. It looks like buying the regular version from Target is the way to go.
Although when all is said and done, I'll only be saving $10 after all the DLC.Go Sabres!Comment
