Having xsn and an xbox and logging into the network is much diffrent then sitting on my computer and logging into microsoft website fourm and giving MS the ability to logging into my computer with passport.
And does it make a diffrence if I dont have a passport account, and XSN account, Links 2004, or an Xbox, but still want to know what they fixed? Maybe I just want to know.

Also

Lets say they put out a copy of a mag. They even call it Xbox Offical mag. They put in this CD that has all kinds of stuff on it. Movies, demos, extra dl stuff, even patch stuff. who knows. If I was going to put that in my xbox would I need xsn, would I need the internet, would I need Win XP, would I need passport. would I need two controllers?

The point is, I asked a question. All someone had to do was anwser it. Say its this etc.. and some nice person did "BJ77LT".
There was no need for someone like you to come along and start pestering me about "hateing MS, blah blah blah,"

We all come to this board to talk about what we like and dont like about games and such. To just share in a common interest, not to bash eachother, or hound someone.

So please let it go, move on. And enjoy this board for what it is, and be thankful that you have such a place to chat.

Yeah, I'm hounding you but it's more a jab than something to get all bent out of shape over. I just found it funny that you said how much you hate MS in your original post when in actuality Xbox is an MS product as is Links. Yeah, it was just a jab at the symantics. After that you dragged this on along with me. Didn't/don't think you were taking any of it too personally but that was really my point. Maybe you should've said you hated passport rather than MS.

My post also wasn't pointless though. I said there's no need to get the patch for most things that aren't XSN related if you're not going to log into XSN anyway since it requires passport. No mag or whatever is going to change that.

i'm sorry if i'm limiting your enjoyment of this board but actually i've still answered your question moreso than anyone else. YES you need passport to be a part of XSN. No you don't need passport to get the patch but there is little reason to rush out and get the patch if you don't plan on being in XSN.
