    Bad Distance on Drives?

I'm getting pretty crappy distance for my driver. I'm averaging 257 yards per drive. I'm only 3 tournaments in, but my power is set to 50, which seems to be the max. I did set my player type to 'control' so that is obviously effecting it. But 257 is very low for a professional player isn't it? Especially at max power attribute?

I actually have drives on certain holes that can't even make the fairway because the fairway is 250 out and I land at 235ish.

Power is not maxed at 50. You can raise it all the way to 95 which will make a huge difference.

To agree with, and elaborate on, what DivotMaker said: 50 may be the maximum you are allowed to put into power at your current level, but as you level up, the cap is raised. 95 is the ultimate ceiling, for all individual categories, once you hit level 100. At level 100 you'll have 500 attribute points to assign across all of the different skills.

Keep on levelin' man! You'll make huge gains at your current level from a few tournaments played!

ah ok good to know. I always hated this stupid leveling up in Tiger games. It's ridiculous that a professional golfer drives 250 yards. I'd rather start out with a fully developed golfer.

I really enjoyed the year (09 or 10, I think?) when the skills fluctuated depending on how well you did in each round. You could create a new character and get everything really high in just a handful of rounds. It was just a really fun concept, for me, and I was sad to see it go. I suppose it could have been viewed as rather unforgiving, but I quite enjoyed it.
