    The biggest problem with TW14

    is the putting.

After watching guys continuously drain every putt inside of 50 feet, that may be an exaggeration but that's what it seems like, the putting speed in this game lacks the sensitivity of real life putting and is the main reason everyone can shoot so low so easily. Every putt that hits the hole no matter if it's hit 5X too hard goes in the hole. It allows guys to take out way too much break and just smash the ball in the hole. In real life if you hit putts this hard they'd role right over the top of the hole and go 20 feet by, or hit the back of the hole and end up behind the hole. In real golf speed matters and you make more putts when you hit them the right speed. In TW speed does not matter enough.

I must suck then because putting is what give me the most trouble. Maybe it's because I try to keep things realistic and putt in such a way that I'm not gaming the system? But then again, I haven't even tried to figure out a way to game it.

Putting in the rain is about the only thing that I can abuse because you can just basically cram it in the hole but any other conditions I find it to be pretty realistic. I play on a modified tournament setting though - I up the swing difficulty to simulation and turn off the beads on the greens (but leave the grid on) and then turn off all swing meters.
