If YOU were responsible for commentary for TW15...

My comments in a previous post (about the poor commentary in TW14 - well, all of them really) got me to thinking: WHY is it so hard for them to do well?

So I ask you, if YOU were responsible for the commentary in TW15, what would you do different to make it better?

Some ideas I have:

- MORE variety! Have whoever it is actually record MORE content. To me, this is priority number one!

- More emotion! The commentary on ALL of them over the years is SO flat, it's horrible. Brighten it up some, get some energy in there!

- Have 3 or 4 different "teams" and have them randomly do the commentary for each match. One match, you might get Jim Nance and David Faherty; and for another you might get Johnny Miller and Verne Lunquist. I realize this is probably impossible license-wise, but how bout you do it with FICTIONAL announcers! They don't HAVE to be the real guys, as long as it's good, I don't care.

- More "stories" and history during a round. MLB The Show and NBA 2K13 are GREAT at throwing out little tidbits and anecdotes. TW golf NEVER does this!


Anyway, those are some of my my thoughts, what do you guys suggest?

Honestly, I'd just get Johnny Miller to do it. His constant criticisms of your shots and such would be funny.

It'd also be nice if they had various announcers for the closing holes, like television, where you have an announcer that walks with your group and certain announcers on 16, 17, and 18 that discuss how people have been hitting the ball there, missing putts all day.

I'd bring in Charles Barkley, though every single round I'd play would be a litany of "That's a turrible shot... just turrible. What a knucklhead."
