I am starting a Links 2004 advanced golf league. Each week we will play a different course and will go in order from A to Z. So the first week we will head to Aviara and play four rounds there, then the next week we will play four at Greywolf etc... I will start each week on a Thursday and the competition will end on Sunday. I have decided to start the league on June 10th so there is enough time for people to sign up.
Here is the schedule...
June 10th - 13th Aviara
June 17th - 20th Greywolf
June 24th - 27th Loch Lomond
July 1st - 4th Mauna Lani
July 8th - 11th New South Wales
July 15th - 18th Oakmont
July 22nd - 25th Ocean Mill
July 29th - Aug 1st Ocean Mill Directors Cut
Aug 5th - 8th St Andrews
Aug 12th - 15th Superstition Mtn.
Aug 19th - ? Championship
After 10 weeks of golf, however many join up from the first week and play ALL 10 weeks will be eligible for the championship. The championship will consist of a single elimination bracket. Lets say we have 8 people eligible for the championship. The 1st seeded player will play 8th, 2nd vs 7th etc... Each match will consist of 4 rounds of golf at four different locations. Each location is picked by the current top 4 seeded players.
I will update league standings on this thread after each competition.
As far as skill points go, everyone will have to be at 0. This is so everyone will have an equal chance to win. Our main goal is to have fun and play fair, so please adhere to this rule.
Anyone who wants to join this 10 week league and championship, click on the link below to sign up. I set the league to 64 players, so there is plenty of room! Since there are vacations planned during the summer, I could extend the due date 2-3 weeks out for a particular tournament so you can get your games in. If that is the case, please let me know beforehand, so I can plan accordingly.
