I'm going to the U.S Open

Well...I'm finally going to my first ever golf tounament and I'm going to see the U.S Open. My brother got my dad tickets for the final round for father's day.

I was just wondering for any tips for watching the tounament. Should I stay at one hole? Should I follow the final group? Any other tips?

    Thanks in advance

Best bet is to get their early and pick a green on the back 9. trying to follow a popular group usually results in just wasting your time trying to get position to see a shot that you end up missing. If you are a fan of a less popular group it is a different story.

Re: I\'m going to the U.S Open

In all of the golf tournaments that I have been to, I've usually always followed a group around and that's been the most fun for me.

I stayed at the 18th green during the final round of the Senior U.S. Open a few years ago and was bored out of my mind for most of the day.

Last year at the Deutsche Bank Championship my brother and I followed around Tiger for 2 days and that was a blast. Sure the gallery is very large but if you can walk fast and know where you need to go, you'll be alright.

If you're interested in seeing a lot of golf shots, follow a group around. If you are only interested in seeing some golfers come by, find a green on the back 9 and stay on it for most of the day.
