The Golf Club Connection problems

So when I fire up The Golf Club, it will stay connected for a little and then say i have been disconnected every time. I have not signed up for ps plus, and i was wondering if that is why it always disconnects me? Do i need PS plus for this game?

I am thinking that you do need PS Plus. I'm no expert and not sure how to say it correctly but, it seems to be a game that is always online when you are playing it. Pretty sure all of the courses are played off of HB Studio's s servers. Don't think you can play it as a stand-alone game.

Someone correct me if that is wrong.

Mine disconnects usually once or twice a round and I have PS Plus.

Yea I just think it's the servers.

If you needed ps plus you wouldn't be able to connect at all.

This issue seems really odd to me, some people see it a lot and then some not at all. I've only experienced 1 disconnect and that was during the first week of release.

This has been happening to me as well. Just last night it disconnected in the middle of a tournament round.

I can't connect at all today. Must be a server problem or maintenance hopefully?

A rep from HB Studios said on the official forum that they had to restart one of the PS4 version servers on Saturday. I've still had periodic connection problems with the XB1 and PS4 versions since then. I think this is going to be an ongoing issue until each version is patched, based on what I'm reading.

Ya, I seem to get dc'd regularly. I live in NC, so maybe it's a server that handles our part of country that's having problems. I notice that sometimes I can't connect at all for a period of time, seems to be on weekend when that happens.
