yes, you pay more, but you get better quality stuff, and you can have a different brand driver, woods, and wedges, depending on what you feel good hitting. I recommend finding a place near you that lets you test out clubs, I have one nearby and it's great.

I'm learning slowly but surely....I love my new Oddssey putter, and my nike slingshot iron set really helped my game. I still have lots to work on, but I can totally tell the difference from the 120 buck complete set of Knight clubs I got at Sports Authority

Thanks guys. That's what I'm going to do. I actually stopped down to Dicks last week and tested some clubs (they have an indoor range in the back). I really like the Calloway X14 irons. I'm going to go hit some more this weekend and then make my purchase.

Also try the X-16 irons if they have them.

Yeah they did. I just preferred the pricetag on the X-14's over the X-16's!!

I guess that's last years model so they're on sale.

I play Hogan Apex Edge Pro. They are quite possibly the finest set of clubs I ever purchased. I had Titliest's before and I mas a very average Iron player. I thought it was me and my swing, it was something I always struggled with. Once I got them I soon learned I was playing the wrong clubs for the longest time. Hogan helped me stablilize my iron game and if I were to practice more I could probably get back to a 2 handicap.
