Anyone else getting annoying amounts of wind? (The golf club)
It's seems almost every round i have played for the last month or so there has been wind up to 15-20 for me. It's getting to the point were I'm not enjoying this game anymore since I'm battling the wind every round. I don't shoot 58 every round far from that actually but a break or a little tweak on the wind and how it's decided in the game would be greatful.Tags: None -
Re: Anyone else getting annoying amounts of wind? (The golf club)
I faced 22mph winds in the first course I played during TGC Tours Q-School. But it was a links course and thus, high winds are expected. Have had winds anywhere from 4-9 in the other two non-links courses. -

I've played around 21 rounds now, and all have been 15+ mph except my last one which was 2-5 mph. That wind is freakin' rough on a hacker noob."Take those guys over to the back fields, I wanna see if they can play on the road."--Sparky AndersonComment

BuckeyeBoyd, the last 3 rounds I have played here in NC IRL, the winds were 12-18 MPH. Tough in real life also. You might want to check the discussions over at tgctours about how to adjust in playing in the wind. A lot of good info.
It doesn't make it any more fun to play in the wind, it just helps you deal with it in the tournaments. I am learning to slice into a R to L wind and vise versa for a L to R wind. Just play with it some to see how you like it.
Good luck!Comment

I just hope they make it so you can set up a tournament with set winds for each round to make it fair to everybody. I have missed cuts due to wind storms while others are shooting crazy scores which would be impossible with 18 mph winds.Comment

How is this unlike a real life tournament? A group teeing off in the early morning could have different wind conditions than a group teeing off later in the day.
I'm not saying that the wind behavior couldn't be improved, but a system with dynamically changing wind patterns seems to be a good representation of real life.Comment
