Apparently, RM is only 15.7 GBs, which means a couple things...

1) It's relatively small

2) Since they have a size there, that means it's done. (Especially since it's rated).... WHY???? Are they delaying it to July??? EA's the only company to delay a finished game just for quarterly reports... UGH...

That is interesting. But I don't think it's for reports at least the whole reason, the open championship is that weekend. The number one golfer in world and st Andrews in the game. Perfect pr move if you ask me. What golfer who wants a PGA tour game wouldn't get it that week. And that theme is interesting. May cancel my GameStop preorder and go digital to get the theme. If you preorder is it already available?

Well, I can't play it obviously until July, but it's there, and it's pre downloadable.

Don't know if game is ready or not but seriously doubt EA is the only company that delays products to hit at certain times to make financial reports come out certain ways.

Well true... but companies will delay a little in order to hit that fiscal mark... But a whole month?? Especially when it's already done? Honestly, there's a lot of buzz around this game just because it was absent last year. If I was EA marketing, I'd release it in the initial June slot, then when the Open Championship hit in July, that still takes care of this plan they've got going on. Hype it up and people will buy in June... then it'll self hype in July, and more sales. Golf is a niche sport anyways. People probably already made up their minds if they're gonna get it. (Unless they're true fence sitters an aren't sure).

It says 15.7MB, not 15.7GB. Either it's a typo or it's not meant to be the size of the game. I'd guess it's probably the size of the download for the program that will handle the preload for that game once it's ready for download.

Yeah a month or more. I'm in printing and we print many catalogs and inserts with sales and release day items etc..
Everything works together. This is a reason stores will also hold items in the back and claim to be "out of stock" as they have to have the product available when items on sale papers etc.. hit homes.

We print these things a month and longer in advance. So if a product is then just thrown out just because it's ready it kills the $ paid for advertising the dates and sales.

It's not a simple black and white issue as there are multiple parts of the business working together .

1. It simply means they are preparing PSN and Xbox Live for the downloadable version. That being said, the game is NOT finished and won't be for at least two more weeks and then it is off to certification and disc production. July 14th will be here soon enough.

Think of it this way, if the game came out in March (like it was supposed too) we have the same amount of information we'd have two months before release which would have been the beginning of February. I'm sure we will get gameplay footage at e3.

Judging by screenshots, this game definitely will be bigger than 15.7 mb or gb.

All of EA's games seem to be under 20 gigs. I wouldn't be surprised if it landed around that size.

That was a typo on my part in my OP, my bad. It's 15.7 MB, not GB (according to the page, but still seems low). But still, when MLB 15 launched, they had the pre order screen up for those who wished to do so, but had the size as "N/A" for the longest time until it was ready. Then they had the size displayed once the game was done, (that's why I'm willing to say here the game is done... the game is rated by ESRB, and it's got an official size displayed, not just "N/A").

I don't think you understand. 15.7 MB is 1024 times smaller than 15.7GB. There is no way that that is the game size. SNES games were bigger than this.

I agree. But the page still says MB not GB. Just saying. The page will probably update soon with the correct info.

Edit: Just checked the size for TW 14, and I'm finding 5.8 GBs. (I realize it's next gen, so there's a LOT more info and code just for graphical fidelity alone, but for a golf game, I find it hard to believe it'll be 15 GBs. Hell, Watch Dogs and everything that game seemed to have was only 18 GB's I think. (Not sure). Sooooo.
