can someone look at the season mode? What's the schedule like and how do they deal with the course issue?

I find it more difficult than analog. I'm more prone to make bad shots. I wish they didn't have the distance marker on it. Let me figure that part out.

This game has zero feel, at least out of the box in Play Now mode on Tour difficulty with analog swing.

Hard to quantify, but club contact with the ball just feels dead. There's absolutely ZERO touch on the short game and putting, almost as if your shot is pre-ordained. Makes it very tough to judge distance on putts of 8 to 15 feet.

Plus the accuracy of the short irons is a joke, at least with McIlroy. Every shot is placed within 8 feet of the pin or closer.

Again, I'm on Tour difficulty with the analog stick swing. I shudder to think how much this game is on auto-pilot with the Arcade or Three-Click swings.

Not impressed. I'll fiddle with swing settings when I return next week from a race I'm working. The environments look beautiful. The golfer models are nothing special. Reminds me a lot of Madden, in which the stadiums and fields look good and the player facial models have that zombie appearance.

The animation of the shot doesn't bother me the control of it does. I'm no longer aiming for a percentage as I was in previous iterations of the game. I am setting up my shot and then just hitting it. I could literally do it with my eyes closed after setup.

I get what you are saying, we did have a graduated putter, now we don't even have that. The problem is my putter can't hit the ball 171 in this game it can only hit the ball to what I have it set to.

How does it feel around and on the greens? I love three click but always found it awkward on shorter shots.

Always sunny, no rain but there is wind. clouds do not move (skybox) and you can not manually set any cloud cover. In tourney's, it might vary a bit from course to course but there are three times of day to set morning afternoon and evening in set up custom games. That's it. Shame , still not loving the. Putting but it's growing on me and I want to like the game and buy it but it feels a little incomplete

Is it legal to ask someone to compare their initial impressions of this with their impressions of The Golf Club? Not to start an argument, just an opinion.

Thanks to people that checked on season mode calendar. This game sounds like nhl last year. What gives me hope though is that they might update and add stuff similar to ufc.

My experience with Access was that you have to wait until release date.

Played 3 rounds. sawgrass .. Looked great.. Commentary has defiantly improved! .. One thing that bothered me. I was at 17 and over hit the ball and the commentators said "he over hit it" . Well I saved the sot with back spin and put it within 3 feet if the hole. The crowd was dead silent.....um.. Hello? .. Played a battlefield course next.. All holes are par 3's.. Nothing crazy happened and it was meh to me... Then played the Grand Canyon.. This one was much harder.. Several times when I over hit the ball the game kinda glitched out and would just focus on the player and not the ball..... At this point the game does not feel done at all. Hoping for a big day one patch, otherwise this is a 6.5 out of 10 at best... Kinda bummed, this thing needs more time in the oven for some plish for sure!
