    RMPGAT Tour difficulty controls

Is there any way to add spin to a shot on Tour difficulty? Not mid-flight, obviously, but before you even take the shot? There are occasions where I want to land it past the hole and spin it back. Is this possible?

Pull back on the opposite analog stick for additional spin. Most of your wedges and high loft irons already draw the ball back....

Thanks I'll try that. I know most do draw it back a little but occasionally I like a little more torque on it.

Not to contradict you, but wouldn't it be UP on the stick to add back spin? You're getting it with more elevation/spin? I know in real life you'd be striking the ball downward, but I think with their back-asswards way of displaying trajectory it would be up on the R stick?

Watch your cursor and you will see that pulling down on the stick creates backspin or a "shorter shot" while pushing the stick away from you creates more topspin which should result in a lower, yet longer shot. Yeah, I know it is flipped from reality, but how can game devs model a striking blow DOWN on the Golf ball using these analog sticks?

That's what has me baffled. I need to turn the aiming arc on for a bit, because I would have sworn up gave me a lofted shot while down gave me the lower trajectory shot.

Now I don't know which is which, and I thought I had it figured out...thanks

Wait so I just figured out why I been sucking. Reversed loft adjustment ? Went tried it out and sure enough I was doing it backwards. Now how exactly do you do backspin?

Is there any way to change the level the computer plays at in tour mode so that they shoot higher scores? This is a brilliant game.

How much higher do you want them to shoot? In my tour pro i finally put together a solid 4 day tourny at the players championship and went down to the wire on Sunday against Rory. He shot a -16 I finished with a -15 for the tourny.... personally i dont need the scores higher than that.

Im playing on a customized tour setting with hard swing difficulty and all aiming guides off with the only exception being the putting read.....personally for me i have a harder time putting and reading the greens in this game compared to the golf club.

No that's fine. The game only came out here today so I've had a chance to play through a full round on the tour. I was worried that the computer scores may be low after four rounds. But you have reassured me.
Sadly I've seen some people shooting -19 online in tour mode.

I won the a school event at sawgrass by 14 shots. The last two round were pointless in many ways. I hope it gets harder on the main tour and their scores get higher.

turned it on and yes aiming arc goes low when I move to lower part of ball and goes high for top. So while opposite of previous and golf intuition, I'm guessing they found that it was too confusing for people using the aiming arc and counter-intuitive to them.

also noticed that when moving the right curser for height, the ball disappears so it's obvious they no longer are implying that is where you are striking the ball as in old iterations, but where ball flight is.

wish they would add back ball strike for tour mode
