If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Rory. He's won by 4 and 7 in the past in the regular tour stop at this course. Also lost in a playoff one year.

I like the Hoffman pick from l3ulvl - he's been knocking on the door consistently for a few weeks now.Comment

Well, hello there Tiger. -5 on the front 9 today, holding there through 13 after cooling down a bit on the back. Currently 1 back of the leader.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 12-01-2017, 03:50 PM.Comment

Chalking it up as weekend fatigue. He was making good swings, just not great results. Gotta remember he hasn't play four healthy rounds of golf in a long *** time. I'd imagine he'll come out tomorrow and take some chances and go low. I'll say another 68 tomorrow.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: Actual Golf: General Tourney discussion
I'm sure you guys saw this, but in case you didn't (sorry, I have never figured out how to embed video on this forum....):
Justin Thomas won the Honda Classic after edging out Luke List on the first playoff hole, but his afternoon wasn't all smiles. CBS mics picked up an unusual moment on the 16th hole when Thomas confronted a fan for rooting against his
I'm sorta of two minds about this....on the one hand, the stupid trend of guys yelling out stuff during (or even shortly after) golfers are taking their swings has got to stop. It's way past funny and just low-class and vulgur, with no place in the game of golf as far as I'm concerned.
However, you can't say you want to grow the game and make it big-time like football or basketball without inheriting any of those sports' problems (if you want to call it that). If you want to make the game bigger and include more people in the fan base, you're going to include more idiots and jerk-offs as well. There's no way around it.
Either you go back to the wine-and-cheese only crowd and you can police the patrons strictly (e.g. the Masters - you never see this happen there), or you take the money and crowds of football or baseball games and put up with the rowdiness. You can't have it both ways. You can't say "keep it to the 16th at the Waste Management" but the rest of the time it's Amen Corner rules.
I understand why Thomas was pissed off, but you can't say it's a rule that you can't root against someone. As long as you're not yelling during their backswing or otherwise personally heckling the players (which this guy might have done, by the way), you shouldn't have to root for everyone.Comment
