Re: Tiger Woods lost DLC Courses and a Possible Solution for XBox 360 and PS3 users
ok after a couple of hours of trying different things. This works 95% of the game time. On the GPU tab set write color buffers on and set resolution scale threshold to 512x512. Turn off anti-aliasing. In advanced tab enable write depth buffers. During cut scenes of when the camera angle changes it may go blurry but stops when you go back to normal player camera. Try it out.
After a few more games, I went back to the old settings without the 3d grass. After a while there's to many artifacts and flickeringLast edited by philby85; 10-31-2022, 10:42 PM.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods lost DLC Courses and a Possible Solution for XBox 360 and PS3 users
Thank you. Love it. The rough looks better now. I have seen zero artifacting as of yet. Played only 18 holes though on 13
My only gripe is the game is to easy even on expert settings. I turn off vibration and hit a draw or fade every time to make the stick swing more challenging and hardly ever miss a fairway or green.Comment

I have a fix for the issue if you are interested ? I bought a copy of this for my ps3 a couple of years ago. I just couldn't play it looked terrible lol.Comment

These two games can look fantastic when upscaled to 4k. Super impressed with how good they look.Comment

You have a fix for the artifacting?
I have a copy too but no xbox 360. It looks that bad ? I remember loving this game back in the day and how good it looked lol, I guess we have came a long ways.
What do you usually shoot? I shoot 5 under to even par 95% of the time. I have long rough on tooLast edited by pokerlife; 11-01-2022, 02:14 PM.Comment

On TW13 i shoot anywhere from -1 to +6 chipping and putting is harder. TW14 is easier by far and I shoot about the same as you. Try the simulation setting.
The fix is a work in progress, let you know if I find a permanent fix.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods lost DLC Courses and a Possible Solution for XBox 360 and PS3 users
Ahh OK. I guess we all had 720p televisions back then.
The emulator does make the game look nice but i remember certain lighting conditions with the sun looked better back in the day on console.
I guess you need a older Tv to really compare everything. Yes, 13 seems way harder because of the putting. The timing is near impossible to get down for me.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods lost DLC Courses and a Possible Solution for XBox 360 and PS3 users
So been playing TW14 mostly. I tried lots of different options including adding the debug tab, gives you extra options to use. With write colors enabled and write depth buffers enabled i get 3d rough, great coloring and proper lighting.
Using Vulkan gives me better performance, but opengl according to the dev is more accurate to the PS3, so I am using that. With these settings I can play 2-4 rounds of 18 before i might see some corruption in the graphics. Sometimes it never happens.
Currently playing the career mode as well, seems like a lot of fun so far. Can create a golfer and works well.Last edited by philby85; 11-09-2022, 01:27 AM.Comment

I have the DLC for Tiger Woods 14 for 360. I would only be able to share it though with people who have (modded) RGH/Jtag 360's. If you have just a regular 360, pretty sure there's no way to transfer it.
I do have a regular 360 as well so I could run a test and see if it can be shared!!Comment

Just tried with open GL and it stutters bad. I have a 2070 super graphic card what about you. Im also having fun with career. I keep my accuracy stat at 50 and will not turn it up higher. Keeps the game more challanging with your swing stick day to day. Do you still have the other setting on 512x512Comment

Re: Tiger Woods lost DLC Courses and a Possible Solution for XBox 360 and PS3 users
Fired up the PS3 and TW games look shimmery and blurry as they are 720p. However fired up my xbox 360 and TW games play in 1080p and they look great upscaled by the TV to 4k. Emulation looks better but I was surprised how good the 360 still looked.Comment
