Here's my goal for the next couple of weeks. Using Tour Clubs on a medium difficulty course, finish a round with no triple bogies, and even harder for me, no 3 putts.

Anyway. I really like the skill that is need in this game. I got RMPGAT when it was released but it did not fulfill my needs coming from years of TW. I missed partly hitted balls, I missed the skill on the stick. And I hated that Turbo boost and spin boost at the tee and on the green. I then grabbed TGC when it was on sale for about 5 bucks. Besides it shortcomings like performance and atmosphere, I liked the skill approach a lot. I like sims all the way, be it basketball, soccer, racing... name it.
So last night I could not resist and I'm happy so far (knowing the flaws and hoping for some polish by hb studios via patches)!
I guess I'll sell my RMPGAT copy.

Edit: any chance someone can provide a list with golfers so I know how to edit wich one to the real life counterpart?! I like the editing stuff someone on here did with the PGA tour!!
As a long time PES fan I'm used to my editing.

and another question. to use tour clubs i just have to select the bag in the character menu, right!?

It's been nice to have some time to finally play the game uninterrupted by server issues. I've firmly graduated to the player clubs. Standard was just too easy and too limited by distance. I tried up bump up to Tour, but after spending some time on the driving range and being all over the place, I figured I'll stick to player for now. lol Just, too sensitive for me.

Has anyone looked at the stats page on their player profile to see if they've been updated? Again, day 1 I got 3 rounds in, my stats tracked fine, then during the disconnects my stats wiped. Only one round I shot at +7 then saved. However nothing I've played since has saved. When I look at the page outlining my handicap results, every round I've played is there, but the stats page is just idle, showing that one round only. Figured they'd have resolved that by now, or is it just me? Anyone else having that problem?

Best site ^^ shows everything you need to know. Just make sure to scroll to last page and find the +HCP and work your way down through the HCP without any + sign otherwise it'll be backwards.

At level 5: there were 249 golfers and I set up 20 events 4 majors. Took around 1-2 hours. Not long at all when you hook up a keyboard to your ps4.

And yes, just go to your club set and choose "tour"

After reading reviews and watching Twitch streams over the last week, I decided to make the plunge and purchase TGC2 last night. Here are some early impressions.

+ Improved graphics
+ Menus are much better/easier to navigate
+ Societies/Tournaments will give this game high replay value

- Swing glitches (this needs to be patched)
- Putting (crazy downhill putts + swing glitch makes it no fun at times)

Overall, very happy with the purchase and look forward to digging deeper into this game.

I'm enjoying it. Playing tour clubs and it is very hard for me and finishing even par is difficult. I enjoy the challenge. Most fun I've had with golf game since Tiger Wood 13 and I think this one more much more realistic.

Really have to try and manage the course instead of just hitting straight shots every time like the original.

Mine still hasn't recorded either. I have 10 plus rounds played but when I check it says no results found but within my career all of my stats are there just nothing on my profile. Not sure what is going on

Standard - Easy?
Player - Medium?
Tour - Hard?

Standard: Forgiving to hit... not as accurate, long or workable as other sets

Player: Offers a balance of forgiveness, distance, work ability and accuracy

Tour: Challenging to hit... but offers high accuracy and work ability and extra distance.

For me....

I hate the Tours... wildly erratic in my opinion, I tried them for like 5-6 rounds and hated them!

Players are OK...

Standard is the most controllable to me... lacks distance, but way better ball placement and feel when pitching and chipping... and to me that is what I like the most.

And if your go into Profile Menu... RB to the ? thats the Help glossary, lots of info in there.

I love the game but it's frustrating, even though I am using standard clubs. Most annoying problem is putting. It is so off sometimes it's unreal. Playing with my elite controller. Tempted to try with a normal controller to see if there is a difference. I know with my elite I can swap the sticks and currently I use the medium ones...

So I'm starting to get more stuttering on swings the more I play. The swing stutter on putts is actually noticeable now.

I'm also experiencing some weird things with my swing with your clubs on times I know it's nowhere near as sliced as it shows.
