Re: TGC 2019 Patch #2 and DLC Course
Oh ok I see. I still think it would be helpful to give us the ability to view at any point after that, though. In fact, it and previous rounds scorecards from the past should be accessible for our viewing. It'd be like if our player stats in Madden or 2K were not accessible during a season mode once you have advanced past the game...Last edited by iLLWiLL; 10-04-2018, 04:05 AM.Comment

It's crazy to me that this isn't already in the game. I feel like this is the only sports game that doesn't allow you to give your player a name.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

I wish that they'd still allow us to changed how it is displayed -- obviously we can't change our console usernames, but it seems like allowing us to edit our player name on a surface level shouldn't be hard to do.Comment

They REALLY need to address the inability to advance online society events when completed, at our own pace. My friends and I will finish a tournament, and be ready to play on to the next one, but have to wait a day or two to start the next. Makes no sense!!Comment

Re: TGC 2019 Patch #2 and DLC Course
Remember that none of the changes to the swing, shot trajectory, spin, lie effect coefficients, etc. are going to show up until next week, with server side changes. Part of the purpose of this patch was to put a mechanism in place to make that possible. What you're seeing today is mostly cosmetic stuff... the main course gets served next week!Duke Football? Thanks for the clarification on this because I haven’t noticed any difference in gameplay.

It's so strange to me that something like swing and spin tweaks are server related. What happens for offline play?
Have they ever talked more about how/why that is?
Stuff related to the courses and surface interactions, etc I understand a bit more, but ball flight and swing/spin stuff?
Something so odd about core gameplay elements being tied to online servers...
..or do they just mean the files will be disseminated through another fully downloaded update down the road?Comment

I think a good many people are missing the bus on this. HBS sort of conveyed this in a two part message that was separated by a good bit of time. I can see why people are confused about it.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

The reason for doing it this way makes no sense to me. I know I'll likely welcome the changes it brings, because everything they're saying about it speaks to my criticisms about the current swing, ball, and lie physics.
The only thing I can come up with is this... maybe they're using this method as a 'post release beta' and they'll gauge and change the settings and tuning based on player feedback. Once they're confident they've reached an optimum setting, they'll incorporate those "server side changes" into a future downloadable game update?Duke Football? Re: TGC 2019 Patch #2 and DLC Course
HB_CraigC just posted the following about the gameplay update to come next week in the official forum:
"As I noted in my original post, spin rates and trajectories will be updated as well as the distance ranges (loss/gains) in the shot shaper. These are club tunings not swing tunings. Surface penalties are also being updated based on the feedback we've received thus far.
"SWING CHANGES" would be the portion of my post where I stated swing difficulty tunings will come AFTER everyone has settled in and provided feedback on the new trajectories and surface penalties. Unlike clubs and surfaces, swing plane and tempo tunings cannot be done on the server.
I can't really elaborate anymore than that. Hopefully this clears up any misconceptions.
*EDIT* It is our full intention to include server tunings into future patche(s) so they are available when playing offline."Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment
