Folks, have a question regarding how the Handicap rating is calculated in TGC 2019 - the HCP score you see next to your profile.
Does it factor in the following?
1. The difficulty level of the course. For instance some courses are more difficult (e.g. St. Bedes) than others. So does the game give you a higher rating even if you get a higher score on the course compared to shooting a better score on much easier courses?
2. The pin position and tees (Red, White, Gold, Black etc.). As an example you can tee off from Red Tees which are generally around 5600-6300 yards range and get a higher score compared to if you tee off from Black or Gold Tees which are 7000+ yards. Thus you will score higher if you tee off from shorter tee positions and have relatively easier pin positions (say Pin 1 instead of Pin 4). Does the HCP rating factor this in?
