IS anyone playing Links on Xbox anymore??? I love this game and would like to play some people online sometime.

I still play it, but not online. It either plays to frenetically (with the fast play enabled), or drags too slowly with fast play off. I wish they had included a multiplayer mode like Jack Nicklaus 6 on the PC, where you saw a virtual tape delayed replay of your opponents shot (which they were playing while you were playing yours). It allowed you to see your opponent, and their shot, but sparred the tedium of having to sit there and watch them set it up.Originally posted by Zlax45Duke Football? I realize you are looking for people to play with online which I do not use on Xbox, but I just wanted to give this game it's props and hopefully open some peoples eyes to the fact that this 2 year old game is still vastly superior to TW05. Has anyone shot a 38 with 4 hole in ones with Links? Doubtful. Do you hit a 375 yard drive at will? Doubt it. Do you hit a bad shot but then "control" the ball in the air and tell it to spin AFTER you hit it? Doubt it. Does your created player (with all of its white teeth) frequently do breakdancing moves after a good shot? Doubt it. This is real Golf, not EA's ghetto golf playland.
I admit I played TW04 a descent amt last year. But then I got an Xbox and Links. No more TW for me. Despite less courses, fewer big name players (though no 400lb Hawaiin or an 88 year old geezer dropping PGA Tour type drives) and inferior announcers, this is still a MUCH better game. Like I said I just want some of the TW players to see that people are still playing and still talking about this game despite it's age. Not to mention we still have our $50 left for NOT buying TW2004 pt2 : this time it's easier.Comment
