I thought that download was on your hard drive forever.

The downloaded game is, but I don't own a PS4 right now, so if they ever pulled it from store/PSN download access I'd be unable to reacquire it again if I ever grabbed a PS4 in the future.

For some reason, the PS4 generation of games just never got me that excited. I bought and sold PS4's maybe 3 times to play an NHL game and/or Rory here and there, but never ended up keeping the console. It just didn't have the appeal and library to match up with the PS3 for me.

Actually, I only even have my current PS3 because about 3 years ago Target was having a super clearance sale on brand new PS3 SuperSlim's (super small storage models) for $60, so I bought one and popped an extra drive in it. At that amount of cash outlay, I don't mind it just hanging around...

But the PS4s....I just don't care to have one "around" for $200+ sitting on the sideline in exchange.

I think it's tied to your PS4 account so if you've downloaded it before, provided you're on the same PS4 account, you can re-download it again (as far as I know....that may be wrong). But the game is still available for DL only for people that have previously DL'd it, or at least that's my understanding.

One of the reasons why I still prefer physical copies, I guess.

Totally agree. I only purchased a PS4 a few weeks ago out of crushing boredom due to the ongoing circumstances. But, lacking that, I would have sat out this console generation for sure.

I only bought the PS4 when they were offered at $200 with a $50 gift card at Gamestop. Worth $150 to me. I still play the 360 and PS3 quite a bit. Original PS2 is in mint condition. Don't know if I plan to buy the next gen console I think I'm getting a little too old for this stuff.

If rpcs3 emulation of TW14 keeps getting better (as it has been for many other EA titles in the last year), I could absolutely see myself having a vastly renewed interest in the game with upscaled resolutions + re-shade and extra AA, etc.

As I've said many times - if TW games were available on backwards compatibility for PS4/XB1, I think they'd be getting played in enormous volume still.

It's truly a shame.

I literally just came across rpcs3 and now play College Hoops 2K8 in glorious 400% upscaling. It's such an improvement but I didn't even think about TW 14.

So I'm assuming it doesn't work at the moment but hope is there?

When I checked a few weeks back it was still in game status and not playable. Seems to depend on your PC and the latest build of rpcs3.

I'm thinking the most ideal approach to cure the thin stik too long issue is likely to change your tallness to mirror the length of the thin stik.

I literally just came across rpcs3 and now play College Hoops 2K8 in glorious 400% upscaling. It's such an improvement but I didn't even think about TW 14.

Okay, so now you've got me REALLY interested in rpcs3, if it will play College Hoops 2K8!

But I believe it will come.

It wasn’t so long ago that NHL Legacy had various issues and now it works phenomenally.

Okay, so now you've got me REALLY interested in rpcs3, if it will play College Hoops 2K8!

Oh yeah, get interested man. Had never heard of rpcs3 until a couple of weeks ago so ripped my College Hoops 2K8 disc and I'm blown away now.

I run it at 300% which runs between 60-80FPS and it's a massive upgrade visually on the PS3 and runs flawless for me (have a Ryzen 7 3700X which helps).

If TW14 ever gets working, that's all I'll need between these two haha.

Arrrgggghhhh.... I forgot, my College Hoops 2K8 is on XBox 360. I checked the Xenia XBox 360 emulator list and it's not in it. Neither is anything related to the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR series.
