Unlocking Legends in TW PGA Tour 14

I bought the game not too long ago and have been playing it more since March. How do you unlock the legend golfers? I went to Legends of the Majors, "legend-ed" some of the scenarios, but nothing happened other than getting a check mark. I'm lost here; thanks for any help.

You've got to at least pass or legend the challenges until you get to the legend to beat. The first one is Bobby Jones in 1934. The next is all the way in 1955.

1) I deleted my created golfer so I assume I need to create one again?
2) Pass or legend the challenges? So I don't need to legend the challenges?
3) Do I need to do/complete the challenges in order?

So many questions but I am lost. Thanks again.

Yes, you need a created golfer and it doesn't matter which level it is. Once you got to them, they will equal your created golfer attributes to the legend you're challenging for a 'fair' fight.

I'm glad you said it doesn't matter which level it is because I just realized I forgot to ask (you) that. I think I got it now but unfortunately I don't think I'll be on the game for a couple of days to see. Anything else you can think of to put in layman's terms for me when it comes to unlocking the legends?

I think I got it now.
You don't have to "legend" the challenges (as you alluded to, you can win or legend them). The word legend threw me off. You just have to beat the Legend when it comes to the Legend challenge--the ones with the "Legend" symbol. Or so I think...
