Money for nothing. You gotta wonder who is making these decisions. I don't care to play with the pros anyway. I always used my own player in all of EA's games anyway but if you are going to include the pros they have to be playable and they have to look and swing like their real life counterparts or why bother?

An alternative could be booking an impersonator for a few days. Hopefully this sees some success and it’s in future plans.

LOL... that guys is very good at impersonating swings! He had me from his Tommy Fleetwood impersonation. I know a guy who looks like Tommy, especially his build and face, but his hair doesn't quite measure up to Fleetwood's, but it could rival it if it let it grow long enough. Thanks for sharing that link Baseline Bakes. Oh, he did a great impersonation of Monty as well, but they were all keepers!An alternative could be booking an impersonator for a few days. The roster of pros they put in the game was pretty close to my tempered expectations. It did strike me yesterday that they may have actually done better than I thought when 4 of their featured pros finished in the top 14 at Colonial!?
What really did surprise is that Matthew Wolff isn't one of the featured pros. I thought for sure his tweet "I wonder how my swing will look in this game", as the second post in the PGA TOUR 2K21 announcement thread tipped him off as a pro. Now I'm wondering why someone of his up and coming stature would be so quick to jump on a Twitter thread concerning this relatively unknown golf game and make a tweet about it? Just started watching the most recent PGA 2K21 video from The ApexHound...it's a video related to the roster announcements. I believe he has been connected to the 2K21 devs in the past, and he mentioned right away in the intro (at 3 seconds in) that he's doing another update video tomorrow because "there's going to be some cool news tomorrow"...

Thanks for posting that link. I have a hunch that TheApexHound is going to announce a multiplayer, play-through session of 2K21 with producer Shaun West in his "cool news" tomorrow. Now that all 12 featured golfers have been announced, this thread has served it's purpose and will unceremoneously fade away. Looking back at it, I'd have laughed in your face if you told me that we would get 13 Pages of discussion about which 12 Pros would be featured in this golf game! I guess it just goes to show how desperate we are to discuss any breaking news in the golf game world

You'll be able to create your own individual MyPlayer, but that's probably it. We have been given next to nothing in terms of info about creating a player, or how career mode will work.

MAB's answer to you covered the situation quite well. I will add that at best, you'll probably be able to edit the fictional player names, to PGA TOUR pro names in the career mode roster.
It's a very uncertain and unscientific way to do it, because all you're going to have to go on is the fictional career mode player's handicap.
The only advantages I see in 2K21's Career mode, versus TGC 2019's is you'll at least have 12 real pros, already named, and their scoring and possibly stats, could be based on a broader set of attributes than the fictional players. The other advantage is that you'll at least have a cut scene showing the other pro, or pros, occasionally, elsewhere on the course. It could get a little monotonous, and possibly annoying after a while, especially if you figure out that they're just showing you a rotation of canned videos, of different players perhaps playing the same shot, over time.
Would that be better than what TGC 2019 currently has in Career mode? I'd say, yes it will, but I also think it's going to fall well short of what a lot of career mode fans are expecting to get out of it.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment
