FYI - In non-course related 2K21 news, several streamers are posting that they'll be part of a virtual preview event "coming soon":

I understand that making a game is different than real golf, but in real life, you get more distance and higher trajectory (forgiveness, more-or-less) at a trade-off of accuracy. That seems like the more natural/realistic trade-off to me but I'm willing to just wait and see how it works when the game is out.

Final course tally is not bad, it's just a little 1-note in terms of all being parkland courses (as many others have pointed out). Would have been nice to have some variety. I guess Scottsdale is in there which offers a little variety, but even that course is basically a parkland course that happens to be located in a desert.

The key to me will be that they allow adding in user courses into the season. These tourneys and courses are nice but need representation for the 4 majors.

Scorecard on whether these courses have been available in the last two EA games:

Wow, Tiger Woods 14 really had a lot of courses. There's enough new courses on this list for me, though, that I think it's worth a buy. (I'm not too keen on custom courses; as a Super Mario Maker player, I can tell you that most custom levels are crappy and sometimes next to impossible.)

You will absolutely be blown away by the quality of custom/ created courses.

I completely agree with the above post. The elite designers create courses that are actually better than the official ones. It doesn't really matter what the course list is as all these courses are already in the 2019 game. Some of the other great courses include Augusta, Pine Valley, Shinnecock Hills, Oakmont, Los Angeles CC, Cog Hill, Medinah, Congressional, Seminole, Crystal Downs, Pebble Beach and even Cypress Point. All the courses that host the British Open are also available such as Troon, Muirfield, Royal St Georges, Royal Portrush and of course St Andrews and Turnberry as well. It will only be a matter of days/weeks before every single course that I have listed will be available to play in the new game once they have been ported over by the designers.

I will vouch for the last game and the created courses. I have a group that get together and play once a week if we can and the created courses have been amazing. There is some talented people who spend a whole lot of time making some really beautiful and challenging courses. Cannot wait for this game

I saw the video promoting the course designer, and now I'm a lot more excited than I was before. I wonder if it would be possible to create the original Mario Golf's courses? In any case, if it's got that many features, then I'm sure there's going to be good ones. My only question is, will we be able to easily find them? Going back to my Super Mario Maker comment, it's almost impossible to find good courses in that game. Maybe someone could list the good ones on this forum.

Here's the list I've used for 2019 to find great courses. I'm sure they'll do something similar for 2K21. The game also features multiple filters "Favorites, Trending, All-time highest rated etc." that makes it rather easy to find good courses

Maybe we'll get 1-2 second snippets of gameplay during the course reveals? Sad what we're resorting to just to see this darn game in action. You'd think they were intentionally keeping it a secret or something.....
So sad - I still play Magnolia in TGC19 but will lose int in PGA2K :-(

I would assume the creator of "Firethorn National" will port their course over to 2K21. I think they are pretty active in the TGC/2K21 community, and said they already have the course layout ready to port over, and they will then use the updated features of the course designer in 2K21 to build it out before publishing.
