2K21 How do you decide which system to get this for?

I just recently bought an Xbox one X, strictly to play Forza. I have been a PlayStation man for over 20 years.

Now that I have two systems, how do I decide which one to get this game for?

Probably by determining which controller you like better...

Aside from that, just know that the swing mechanics of the last game in this series didn't seem to work 100% of the time on Xbox. I believe this has been addressed in the new game, but it's something to be aware of, and why it would be helpful if 2K/HB Studios allowed for some console gameplay to be shown prior to release.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to both of my threads on this game.

I've seen TGC 2019 on both my XBox One X, XBox One, and a friend's stock PS4. The XBox One X enhanced version of TGC 2019 looks like a different class of game, compared to what it looks like on the XBox One and PS4. To put it into terms described by the game's Senior Producer, Shaun West, here's how he stated it in July of 2018, when asked about the advantages of the PS4 Pro and XBox One X version:

"1600p on PS4 Pro and 4K on Xbox One X. Each platform also has higher graphics settings than the their standard counterparts. On PS4 Pro, the UI and the game is being output at 4K, however it’s being rendered at 1600p. We’re doing this is to maintain 30fps while also increasing the object detail on the high end platforms. Increase the object detail and running at 1600p results in a significantly better visual quality than running the standard version at 4K. It’s important to know that 4K standard (3840×2160) refers to the number of pixels being drawn on-screen. It’s not an intrinsic image quality metric and it doesn’t say anything about the level of detail. This is why it’s critical for us to push for higher object detail as this is what’s creating a cleaner and crisper visual experience for the user."

Not only does the XBox One X enhanced version stand out with its 2160p resolution, that added object detail it has can't be stressed enough. It makes it a much richer looking game. I can't pin HB Studios down on it, but I strongly suspect we'll have the same options Shaun stated above in the XBox One and PS4 versions. I'm hoping they'll have a "Quality/Performance" (2160p @ 30 FPS/1080p @ 60 FPS) option for the XBox One X version of 2K21, but again, they're being very tight lipped about ANY specifics on the console versions.

I have a couple friends getting it on PS4 so I may buy it on there. I'm waiting to hear if the files look moddable, if so than PC all the way.

Question: if I create a course on the PC, can it be downloaded on all platforms?

Yes, but technically you don't download the courses.

This is good to hear. I've been designing courses on TW08 for years. It will be cool to design on PC and use on XBox.

I managed to mod the splash screen and I can open all the files. Its just figuring out what is where now but I am pretty limited on time for the next few days.

I chose my copy for the switch lite, and have been very impressed. I have a ps4 pro but I find im able to play my switch a lot more often, especially when the wife wants to watch her TV shows lol.

I recently acquired a pc (i3-9100f, 16gb ram ,gtx 1060) so I now have 3 platforms (also own an xbox one digital and a ps4).

I'm interested in 2k1 but not sure yet what version I should get.

                        Any suggestion ?

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game. I also picked this up for the Switch (Lite is my primary) and so far, it's been very frustrating trying to find any consistency with the swing (I've played all TGC games on console). Any tips? Feels like no matter what I do I'm winding up with slow/very slow or fast/very fast on the follow thru's.

I own all three platforms (X1X, PS4Pro, PC) and I always get it on PS4 because I always have and so I can import my created courses and improve them.

I tried 2k19 on my X1X and it does look prettier than it did on my PS4, but I prefer the PS4 controller for this game series.
