No clue...hadn't looked into each club much, especially the ones locked behind the paywall. I would assume they may have just put the wrong attributes out there for the wrong club, or misnamed them, or something like that. I just got the update on my PS4, and really don't notice anything different. But, like I said, I didn't pay too much attention to the clubs in there beforehand.

How about getting rid of the clutter on the bottom right hand side of the screen? WTF is up with that? HBComment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Impressions Thread
Had an interesting situation happen last night...
I started playing career mode again, just to see if things related to scoring issues had changed at all via the recent patches. I played the Shriners Hospital for Children Open, finishing in the top 5, and scores seemed to stick from exiting the tourney itself to getting back to the career mode menu.
However, the winner of the tournament (Anirban Lahiri) was not anywhere in the FedEx Cup point standings on the menu, and it showed that he actually dropped 34 places with his 1st place finish!
I just shook my head and now assumed that MORE issues had popped up. I even sent a tweet to the PGA Tour 2K21 account about it...which leads me to my next point.
I went back into career mode later, and Lahiri was in the FedEx Cup standings list, and was given his 300 points for winning the event. No idea if 2K/HB can even do something from their side or whatever, but it seemed it was somehow fixed.
Just a strange situation...typical of career mode at this point!Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Impressions Thread
I'm trying to play a nice, relaxing round of golf after a days work. I start the game, but it says that I have lost my connection. Connection to what? My internet connection is working fine (otherwise I wouldn't be able to write this). Steam is also working. So it's probably connection to 2K-servers or something? The problem is not in my end. So it must be in their end.
I payed 40 € for this game, and I can't play it when I want, because the publisher has problems.Comment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Impressions Thread
Give us a real time swing 1:1 ratio so we can play our way.
What we have now is like a 2 click. All you have to do is pull the stick or mouse back far enough to initiate the backswing and the animation will complete the backswing on it's own. Just nudge the stick or mouse forward to complete the swing when desired power is reached. The short game has no feel to it as seems they don't want you to be able to control the animation in real time.
Then the way they have the distances set for each club and shot type eliminates the need for partial shots that are near impossible to play anyway. LW chip would be lucky to hit more than 20 ft. You can dial in pitch shots by increments with club selection up to 120 yards. Their new Splash shot you can play from the fairway stops on a dime even out of the rough. But you can still chip out of the bunkers. Don't think they'll ever get away from that dial a distance mentality.Comment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Impressions Thread
If these course were on the disc itself...we probably wouldn’t have hundreds if not thousands of user courses to choose from. All the courses are on the server which probably aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. So take your pick what you’d rather have. 15 to 20 courses or hundreds.Comment

So while it is nice that we get so many great courses to choose from (even though they can't be used in career mode), they will likely one day no longer be available - at least not in 2K21.
It will be interesting to see, especially now that 2K is more in the mix, how quickly they release a new PGA Tour game, and how quick they are to pull the plug on 2K21's servers in hopes that people jump to the newest edition of the game.
From how they run the NBA 2K series, only NBA 2K21, 20, and 19 are connected to servers now. NBA 2K18's servers were turned off on January 18th, 2020. 2K18 was released on September 15, 2017. So that game was only online for like 2 and 1/3 years.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 12-17-2020, 10:13 AM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Impressions Thread
I really empathize with fans of Career Mode in this game. I've never been a fan of TGC's and now PGA TOUR 2K21's style of career mode, but I was hoping they'd get somewhere with this one, now that they have a player license. I read the horror stories you guys report, and when the scores can't even be properly accounted for, it's fighting a losing battle. I got as far as playing one event in the Korn Ferry tour, and I'm already disenchanted with it.
The last career mode that I really enjoyed in a golf game was PGA Championship Golf 2000 on the PC. Nothing has come close to touching it since. 2K might as well drop their PGA TOUR player licenses if they're not going to do anything more than use them for occasional cut scene highlights... that's ridiculous!?
Playing exclusively on the PC at this time, the game is solidly delivering for me right now, especially on the multiplayer front. I played back to back, 2V2, 9 hole Alt-Shot matches in online matchmaking. Both matches went to the last hole and were executed without a hitch... it was unbelievably smooth. I only knew one of the guys (and it was an entirely different set of players the second match) playing prior to the matches, but when it was all done, I had 4 new players on my friends list.
What I don't understand is how they can get something like live, matchmaking multiplayer right, with players spread out over three continents (as was the case in my first match last night), why can't they get something as pedantic as a career mode right!?Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

I don't play matchmaking: Pro is just not challenging enough.
I continue to look for Master difficulty players to play Private matches.
This is on the PC. If interested, my # is

Looks like a new update is out for PGA 2K21, at least on PS4. I'm downloading version 1.11 now.Orbis Non SuficitComment

I'm expecting the "stability and performance improvements" line, to be honest...haha
UPDATE - I was right. They did add back in the colored canvas walls they removed from the course designer in the last update, though! hahaLast edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 04-06-2021, 01:34 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment
