It seems that the more rounds you play, the more apparent the issues you've pointed out arise.

That's exactly the point. In 1-round tournaments you don't notice anything, in 2-round tournaments you notice it a little, in 3-round tournaments you start to frown, and in 4-round tournaments you get annoyed with the leaderboard.

In my opinion, HB only tested the career mode for 1-Round-Tournaments. If you play more rounds then you only see how flawed and unrealistic the career mode actually is. And high deviation slider settings further intensify the effects of unrealism.


You can see that HB obviously didn't even notice that the score cards of the AI players change from round to round in a 4-round tournament if you leave the game after a round and the tournament is not yet over. If you then restart the game at a later point and then start the next round in career mode, some AI players suddenly have a completely different score that they never played in the previous round.


Just yesterday JT played a -7 in the first round. Today I wanted to play the second round and on the leaderboard I saw that JT played a -2 yesterday. Such mistakes are unacceptable.

With 80-40-20 sliders, I observe enormous gaps in the top 10 on the leaderboard in a 4-round tournament.

It is not uncommon for JT to win with a lead of 12 strokes and the tenth place is more than 35 strokes behind. In addition, a high value for the Event Deviation Slider ensures that the AI suddenly plays too weakly on easy-to-play courses and I then win tournaments like this with my eyes closed and 20 strokes ahead.

After intensive testing, I believe that 80-0-10-100 slider settings are the most realistic in a career.

Curious, why did you choose 100 attendance? Also, what are your conditions difficulty?

I choose 100% attendance because I want to play 100% of all tournaments myself. I don't want to get free points while an AI player is forced to not play all tournaments.

I play on Default Medium Conditions with Hard Wind Conditions.

Any updates to career AI settings with the new patches etc to get sim results?'
Playing Korn Ferry and winner had -24 at Scottsdale!!

Not that I know of...there were the notes from the last patch that was released on Oct. 24 - the same patch that introduced that silly hats and putters that look like food:

• Made some improvements to 2v2 matchmaking.

• 2v2 party queuing has been re-enabled on all platforms.

• Added audio adjustments in PGA TOUR Career.

• Fixed UI related issues.

• Addressed concerns related to Online Societies.

• Addressed reported concerns related to crashing problems.

• Addressed stuttering and framerate drop issues.

• Added performance and stability improvements.

• Other minor fixes.

Career mode AI or scoring has not been touched.

I haven't played career mode in weeks, to be honest. I only play one-off rounds, and work on creating courses at this point.
